Here is my 4x4 of Sue's octagon. I changed the original to fit the 4x4 hoop & then added the egg basket. Someone said we have the octagon fever & I agree but I think it's contagious LOL This is such a versatile block I just love it. I did a fancy stitch from my machine all the way around the lines, I changed my mind after the first line but this way it looks nice on the backside too

That looks great - wasn't it a bit fiddly that small? I've done 130 x 180 for the hexagon so I might try smaller.

I do like the decorative stitching that you have done. The print fabric is also very pretty.

this is such a great pattern & it uses very little fabric for this one I used 1.5 inch strips plus the batting & the back so very little fabric & it is so pretty I am hooked! If you have one of these tiny iron things then I would recommend using it to press after each strip is added. I have a thermal pad that I place under the hoop & then press while it is still on my machine then when I am ready to do the next one I remove the pad & then stitch the next colour on. I pressed after each strip was added & I have a very nice flat finish. A very handy little tool that I have had for over a year & never even took out of the package until I started doing the twists.

I also used mini iron on ones I did. They are great for small projects.

I have a tiny regular mini iron(TARGET-$10.00)it's perfect. Love it!I keep it close by. Covers a little more space than this type.

this was sure a handy little gadget I thought I would never use it but perfect for small bits!
