Fabulous stitchout! You have a lot of very important words, and I'm sure she'll appreciate receiving it!
Thank you for donating this design. I got it a few years ago from you. I made it again yesterday for young girl (32yr old) who was just diagnosed with breast cancer. She has been friends with my daughter since elementary school.
Sorry to hear about your daughter's friend...so glad you had the design though...
Where can I purchase this design? I have been doing handerchiefs for ladies at church to encourage them. This would be different. Love the design.
Beautiful job dragonflyer. As stillbehind mentioned it could be done in many colors to depict the different cancers. There are so many cancers and each has its own color, but purple covers all cancers so one done in purple or purple and lavender would also be wonderful. Being a 2x survivor you start to learn these things. Keep up the good work! Hugs, alta aka 1allamericangirl
Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement...I have sent you a PM...check your inbox in the upper right hand corner...
So sweet of you to honor Loralie! Great work digitizing to make it your own!
Huggers and ***
I answered your PM last night, but don't know if you got it or not. I'm horrible with PM's and not sure if I do them right! LOL
Beautiful job! It could also be done in other colors to depict the different cancers. This style of design is also known as "Subway Art" on Sewforum.

I agree stillbehind. Unless you have had cancer or know those with different cancers its hard to know there are so many different kinds of cancer out there and each has its own color. Purple covers all cancers so when in doubt of the kind of cancer purple and lavender are wonderful colors to use together.
Great design and pretty variations of pink!
Thanks, Vicki...hoping to get the one done with the binding today...I think I will like it better!
This came out great well done. So many of my family/friends have encountered this disease. Some unfortunatly have not been so lucky to get through it. Even my hubby has been through kidney cancer & had to have his r/kidney removed.
So sorry to hear about your hubby...my SIL suffered with Kidney Cancer as well...fortunately, she is now cancer free...
Thank you. Yes thankfully my hubby has been clear of it too with his continual checkups. Although he has taken up smoking again much to my horror!
Sorry christracey but smoking did not cause your hubby's kidney cancer. Sorry to hear he has taken up smoking again though as it is not good for him or you. My father died from lung cancer and was a smoker but that is not where his cancer started. It started out on his left arm as skin cancer and moved up to his neck through the blood and then down into his lung. I have know many people that have died of cancer and they were non smokers. Still sorry to hear he picked it back up again. Its a habit that is hard to quit, and you really have to want to., been there myself but smoke free for 17 yrs now. Hugs, alta
HI Alta, Yes I know the smoking didn't cause his kidney cancer but it's still not good for him. He has also had a heart attack & now has 3 stents. I just don't want the smoking to become the cause of something else.
Bravo ! Je suis concernée aussi par ce mal... alors encore bravo
My Mother a 3 time cancer survivor. Twice lymphoma and this spring breast cancer went for her check up today. She is 80 and is such an inspiration to me. I praise God I have her daily. I see your wonderful wording here, Survivor, Love,Fight, hope etc. It all sums up with Faith and the Strength. This is a very nice mug rug you have honored Loralye with.
That is wonderful news highlandermom as that means your mom is a fighter. I have a bracelet that was made and given to me that has the initials CCKMA. I was told it meant Cancer Can Kiss My A_ _. But I say it says Cancer Can't Kick my A_ _. All of us that have had cancer needs to be fighters. Bless your mom for being a fighter. Hugs, alta
What a lovely design :) Sadly this horrid disease stole my mom from us recently. xXx
So, so sorry...my mom is fortunately still a Survivor...breast cancer in her 50's, cancer free until her 80's...then it metastasized in her bones 12 years ago...so grateful that she is still fighting the fight...
My mom had a double mastectomy then chemo then radiation and was all clear for two years, so it was quite a shock when she died and her post mortem showed she had cancer throughout her body. The investigation is still going on (she died in November) so there is no death certificate yet. She certainly did all the things mentioned in your design after her treatment though :)
So happy for you with your mom still fighting :) xXx
What a lovely way to honor those who have been touched by this terrible disease! I myself, am a two time cancer survivor.
Hang in there greytgirl, I also am a 2x survivor. We have to stand tall and fight back. Hugs, alta
Lovely rendition - love the plaid...
I am working on some new dresses for my grand-nieces..this is the fabric I happened to be using...had a scrap and that is how it just happened! Go figure...
I have sent an email to FSF to ask the whereabouts of the cancer ribbon design, so far I've not heard back and trying to find the design itself in my computer, have yet to even find it. I'm not giving up, but it could be awhile and I'm not even sure it's on a website anymore, google hasn't been much help in my search. Sharon
Yes Quite impressive.
Thanks, Christine...I am thinking the one with the binding I will like better....tomorrow is another day!
Thank the good Lord,I could use one for my daughter (and others),you have done an excellent job! What size is this,it looks larger than my 5x7 ?
No, dear..it is done in the 5x7 frame...I will send it to you in honor of your daughter...
The design is beautiful. I make handkerchiefs to encourage the ones at my church. How can I get this design?
