Ricky how long does it take you to make a quilt it looks a lot of work
I don't really know.I started this one some time ago but had some other things to do as well, so didn't get to it very often.I also do quilts with the Log Cabin Angels and, although I like to leave that for Monday nights, I sometimes bring it home to do a bit because it can get a little crowded where we meet.Especially when the layers have to be pinned or tacked. If I didn't get side tracked so easily I would probably finish it a lot quicker!
Ricky, I love it - great way to show the progression of the quilt block - I love it. *4U
Thank you.It will take quite a while yet before it is finished, but you guys will be the first to see it when it is. Flower for you.
Is the centre machine embroidery? It is lovely
Yes it is.It is cross stitch.Oh, what the heck, I'll give everyone a flower.
Wow Ricky, das ist wunderbar! Sehe ich richtig? Wird der Stoff immer im Kreis dazugenäht? Viele Blumen für dich
Danke.Ja, du siehe richtig.Aber wenn ich ein bisschen genäht habe ,schneiden ich die Ecken? und nähe noch mehr an.I have just told Hilde that I sew it around the shape, then, when I have sewn a bit I cut the corners of and sew a bit more on.
Beautiful work in progress. Thanks for sharing the different stages. *4U
Really nice!! Is this your original idea? I'm not a quilter, but I want to be.
Well, I thought it was. Then I looked through an embroidery magazine I had just bought and there it was!My idea.!So, I can't really claim it as my own because it had been done before.
Wish I had the nack for all the beautiful quilt work you do. Hugs and flowers.
Thanks for showing the different stages. Now we all know how to proceed: build the block, embroider the larger center part, add the details. Thanks for this quicky course mpo!
Your welcome.Of course you know I charge about 50 bucks a minute don't you?!!!hehehe!!!
