Well, a nip here and a tuck there made no difference in this little beauty.
Yes it was only 2 or 3 rows of vertical X-stitches on the sides and since the design is an oval it really did not make any difference in the overall appearance of the design.
I bet she was thrilled - looks lovely! How did you do this "surgery"? delete the stitches somehow or just cut them off? Very brave of you. It really looks wonderful.
I did it in my embroidery software "edit". Just deleted 2 or 3 rows of vertical x-stitches on the sides of the design and it did not change the appearance of the design. Only a very small amount of stitches had to be deleted to make the design fit my hoop.
This is So beautiful...Well done...lovely colours
What a fabulous pillow! This is a fantastic project!
How pretty. I would not have thought to reduce the sides to fit a 6x10 hoop. I hope you have sent a picture to Missie. She will be so pleased. Did you use lace to frame it on the pillow?
Yes I am going to send pictures to Missi....with a link to this site so she can see all the nice comments on her design.
Yes I did use lace to frame the embroidery.....I tried many styles and widths of lace and this one seemed to work best.
Gorgeous design, and I Like your color choice. This is very classy looking!
Stunning, I love cross-stitch, one of my favourites. Love Chris
It's very pretty!!! What type fabric did you use? I'm sure your neighbor is going to love it! Great job!!!!
Thank you........I used a medium to heavy weight cotton fabric.....the kind of fabric you would use for draperies.
This is beautiful. I haven't tried Cross Stitch with Machine embroidery, but just may now.
