Hearts table topper

This is the larger version - about 40 cm across. I was rather lazy with this one and stitched it together with a fancy stitch on my sewing machine. I wish I had hand stitched it first!

Quite a charming project. You must be a tiny bit OCD. ;)

Carolyn, that's 15 3/4". Here a handy link to save and you can type in the cm and get inches instantly.

Don't you have both measurements on your tape measure? They all do here in England.

It's still very lovely. Also it gives others who might decide to machine stitch their pieces an idea of what it will look like. While I'm normally a hand-stitcher (really only from lack of confidence that the fancy machine stitch might not do and then be the dickens of a thing to rip out) the machine stitching does give me plenty of ideas.
I really love the shadow quilting of hearts that draw the two colours of each quarter together.

These are neat, this one you can do in reds for valentines day and in greens to turn it into a 4 leaf clover for st pattys day. I love these!!!

I know what you are saying. I considered stitching mine on the sewing machine too, but was afraid I wouldn't be able to get the sections close enough together. The hand stitching is time consuming but it does produce better results. It is so lovely when finished. Hugs, Susan

Very pretty and I love that it is a piece that has loads of possibilities, and can be used both sides.

I love this. I see it as great presents next Christmas. Hopefully, by then I will be able to stitch again. hehe

I like it a lot, would be very practical, nice colors too! I'm not a very neat hand stitcher, I guess you would blind stitch it? My problem sometimes I rush things and shouldn't. It looks great though!
