The maemae link is re-posted here scroll around-the one at top, isn't working,I didn't do the link correctly. This one gets you to the Baby Booties page, has different sizes.
I just love these and you did a great job Toogie. I would love to make these for the people in Hospice that are in wheel chair and have to have their legs up....the heels hurt them and I think I could add a little more padding on them...Hugs Joann
Thanks for sharing I used the same pattern for all the baby booties and put none slip soles on , and thanks for showing us how to in large the pattern , I hope she likes them love Sherene X
I used the spongy, shelf liner for my non-skid sole.I do love this pattern and is easy and fast, to sew.
Your doing such a wonderful job, I bet they love them.
Thanks you for the pictures..Love the recovery idea (go girl) ..Thank you also for the links. Great Job
I love the fringe! Look like what Princess Pocahontas would wear!
Very cute booties. I like the fringe embellishment!!
Oh what fun! Think of all the wonderful fabric to use for these!! Thank you for sharing, if you have luck with enlarging the pattern I would love to know as these would be awesome for nursing home residents! Thank you for sharing. K
I just copied at 138%.I will sew me a pair soon and place in Community/Sewing, when I do. I enlarged to fit my 8 81/2 foot but I think it will have to be trimmed down around the sides from about the arch up toward the top, too wide.I will definately put shelf liner on mine because I do not want to fall.
Excellent pieces. Thanks for the links. I can't wear shoes or boots because of a bad toe. I wear birkenstocks year round.I need this! Thanks!
You made quick work out of making another pair. With only part of the design stitched out it does look good and that way one can tell left from right and you were able to salvaged the boot. Do you think you cutting blade has gotten dull? Can you disengage it and clip the jump stitches by hand?
No,only one pair of brown,I wrote the outside with the design is now the INSIDE.The outer fabric and inside lining are all one piece. When I turned I just used the design part for my inner part.I can disengauge it,but I will try again before I do.
thank for posting this for us , you have done a fantastic job of your boots, i am going to start with a pair for my Grandson, and then may be
try a pair for my Sister who can not use shoes.
Hugs Pam.
Pam, I don't know how old your sis is,but you may have to enlarge the pattern.I will enlarge it for me, just not right now.Gotta make this girl some more for those tootsies.
Pam, I forgot to add, you won't believe how quick these are, to make.Love the pattern!
Yes thank you , My sister is 50, I thought I would start off with small and work up, I have plenty of Grandchildren to try out on. lol
You must have a very busy life, you always have something new everyday. I wish I could do this. Maybe I can now as I just got a new craft room delivered today. It was my Christmas present. Lucky me! I don't have to pack up all my crafts for meal time now. Woo Hoo!
Kind regards
Crafty Sharon
Welcome to Cute Embroidery.Take some photos of your new room and show us in Community,Sharon. We would love to see it when it is organised, because when you get like us,no photos allowed!-LOL You are a lucky and you sound thankful girl!-Toogie
Toogie - these boots are amazing. Thank you for posting. Sarah.
You really moved on these. The design is pretty. I may have to give these a whorl myself.
I am thinking about after sewing the bottom on,sewing it where the seam is on the outside of sole instead and then clipping the edge, like a fringed blanket.Would be small fringe tho and wouldn't have to worry about trash getting caught in it,she doesn't walk.Does that idea seem good or do you have a better one? You know tomorrow,I'll make another pair.
I remember other day you said you had dried up on ideas. Just goes to show you just had a moment of it to you. You are very creative. I love what you have done here. Also know you got great idea with fringe so it don't get icky. For me I would like fringe like you have here or maybe 1/2 less not longer. Bet she loves them all.
Check on PLANTS at the bottom of filipkoza page, for the wheat designs on boot and 2 more.
