Yesterday we said good-bye to my beautiful Cocker Spaniel, Lady, aged just 13 yrs 3 months.

Oh, Meganne, I'm SO sorry! It's so hard to lose them, and you have had so much loss in such a short time, it's hard to take in. I'm so sorry about your dog, she was very beautiful, all of your babies were. You are in my prayers. to lose them all in such a short time, is so sad. You were a great mom to them and they loved you very much. I know I said this to you when Tidge passed. but some day, when you're ready. there are other babies out there that need you too. My heart goes out to you Meganne. It is so difficult to lose one of our fur babies...but three! This is a heartbreaker. Take care, and go get a kitten or a rescue pup. I've been there and it really does help.

Thank you all so very much for the kind words of love and support, Ray and I both appreciate all your comments.
I feel as though I have had the stuffing kicked out of me right now and I know Ray is finding it tough to go downstairs and see all the "Lady" paraphernalia that is a sad reminder of our missing girl. She was the first dog Ray had had since his childhood and she was such a character she had him wrapped around her furry paw, she will be irreplaceable.

Dear Meg and Ray, I'm so sorry to read this, as you know we've been up in the Hunter Valley since Friday and have no mobile phone reception and I didn't access the computer as John and Deirdre were having problems with their router. I hope you guys are doing o.k. without her - I just loved Lady.

At least she is up in heaven playing around with Mishka and Tidgy now.

Oh Meganna I feel your pain I know the pain of loosing the fur babies I have one left that is 21 this year but she is failing .it will break our hearts when she has to go.

Animals bring such joy into our lives. I'm so sorry you've lost your furry friends...I do understand. Hopefully some time a new friend will need a loving home and YOURS will be it! Of course, one can't replace the other, but I know you have enough love to include another dog or cat in your life someday.

I am thinking & praying with you. The sad thing is it does'nt get better with time. The pain gets easier but the loss never goes away just softer because they are a part of our being. When I as only 5 someone poisened my dog and I stopped eating and ended up in the hospital. Mutt is still with me but it is better and he is more hansom.

I too am sorry for your loss. We have (over the years) lost many canine and feline children. Each loss hurt as much as the first. Take care of yourself while you grieve.

I am sorry you are hurting. I've lost nearly a dozen cats in my life and it never gets easier. God bless you and I hope you have wonderful memories to sustain you in this time. Keep your pictures handy.

Good morning, I'm so sorry your furbabies have crossed over the rainbow bridge...They know you miss them horribly and you know they are in a better place but it still hurts. Yes meganne, You have had wonderful relationship with your furbabies, and I am sure they are all loving you still and are together.

I am so very sorry. It is so sad when we lose a loved one, two-footed or four-footed. But what a wonderful 11 years and what wonderful memories you have of her. and the cats.
