Can someone help me to decide which to use or which is better or when to use one and not the other----Brother bobbin thread----which is best to use???--60 weight bobbin thread or 90 weight bobbin thread?????? I currently use 60 weight in my Brother 780D but have seen 90 weight bobbin thread in ads. I use Sulky bobbin thread if it is all I have on hand but I prefer Brother bobbin thread. I welcome all comments/ideas/suggestions/ Thank y'all (as we say in the SOUTH:)))

I checked online and your machine was factory set to use the 90wt (green label) Brother bobbin thread.

I have 2 Brother machines and I too prefer the Brother bobbin thread but my bigger Brother (which uses the 60wt/grey label) is also happy with prewound NEBS. hth :) xXx

I think it depends on your machine. Check your manual. I had a 750d that used 90 weight, but my 900 & 4000 use 60 weight. Also I only use Brother bobbin fill. Have had nothing but trouble with other brands but other people say they can use any brand with no troubles.

Most embroidery designs are digitized to be used with 40 wt top thread and 60 wt bobbin thread. I recommend the light weight threads for light weight fabrics. I use prewound plastic bobbins and have purchased a separate bobbin case adjusted for the 60 wt thread.

I also use the prewound bobbin thread in the plastic bobbins. They work wonderful and they are so inexpensive!

I use prewound 60 weight in both of my Brothers. Never did use the Brother bobbin thread. Works well for me (my prewounds are from MetroEmb.com - the plastic sided ones and I use the little top hat pin).
