I love the psychedelic fabric, and the designs coordinate perfectly. This is such a cute little set. It made me reminisce about my youth.
I love the fleece! where did you get it? You did a nice job.
I think they are beautiful Toogie, nice work! I don't have duckbills, but I use stork scissors and they work fine for this ole lady. lol! I love the diversity of the daily site, never know what pops up next day.
I imagine on fleece it's a bit harder to trim too cause of the fabric thickness, it looks fine though I think.
They are nice and colorful. With applique I either get too close and it pulls out or not close enough and lots of whiskers. Need to put one of those hot irons that melts away the whiskers on my wish list.
I know what you mean. Some designs let you leave a little and they cover it with ziz-zags before the satin, while others barely want you to leave any edge at all.
They look great. Love those colours. I find applique designs vary greatly for ease of trimming. Some have one or more straight stitching lines around the item when you've put the applique fabric on -so that you can trim up close to that before the satin stitch goes on. Way easier if you have designs like that to use. I'm always nervous about trimming close to satin stitches as well.
I trim before the satin, but some designs, even if you leave a little fabric on the edge, will cover it with zig-zags before the satin
What a fun set to have. You will get better at snipping with practice. Don't be too hard on yourself.
Yes,I probally will like the duck-bills after I use them a while as I like applique. Thanks Karen, hope you are getting better ! ????
