Sorry to learn its been cancelled, - i suspect you may have needed a lot of help to co-ordinate it, but thanks for coming up with that idea - it might have been a lot of fun.

some must of not seen this

Hi All, I'm so sorry, but I have decided I'm not going to do anything formal with the idea at this time, and maybe someday, it might be fun to organize a Cutie party. It was just getting to complicated with all the Time Zones, too hard to explain and I'd probably upset someone. So for now, This cyber party for Cuties just isn't going any further. Please forgive me. Hugs, and thanks for your understanding! Jan

We'll just sew and post like normal, lol! No problem. We'll party in spirit!!!

hightechgrammy by hightechgrammy 15 Jan 2014

Yeah! That sounds great!

meganne by meganne 16 Jan 2014

Well I'm ready to party (in spirits) any time you are, Jan. Hic!

Good decision!!! This was going to be the Year of the Big Stitch for me. So far, DHDon has been in hospital since Jan 1 and I visit him twice daily. It's been 'do what you can in the time that's left' after normal jobs, house and little farm, are done. Truth is, I was quite looking forward to the WorldWideParty but maybe in reality I'd be the one to let everyone down again.
I still intend to sew when I can and try to stay as normal and sane as I ever could be and when I do create something of beauty I'll party in high spirits, too.
AlmaG.

hightechgrammy by hightechgrammy 17 Jan 2014

Oh Alma, I hope things get better for you and your DH Don soon. You would never let anyone down, we know that. We just will remember all the Cuties as we are stitching and make it a party that way. Take it easy and know that we care :-) hugs, jan

Hi Jan, I have added a link below to my very favourite world time zone website. It is easy to use and there are several ways of doing this.....

You can move your mouse over the different sections of the map and the times will show in the box in the bottom left corner,
or
you can select the Country/City from the complete list of countries box on the bottom right corner.

So, if you place your mouse over the east coast of Australia it will probably come up as Brisbane, then if you scroll down and find Australia/ Sydney in the Countries box you will notice a time difference between the two cities of one hour, even though they are in the same time zone.
HOW is this possible you ask????
Well the State of Queensland does not have Daylight Savings time in Summertime.
((( Queenslanders think the extra hour of sunshine will cause them lots of problems. (Only kidding of course. LOL!!!))))

Anyway I hope you find the timeticker useful.
Oh and you can MUTE the ticking.

Hi Jan,
I've added a map of Australia with the time zone differences in them. We on the East Coast of Australia are 3 hours ahead of Western Australia whilst Daylight savings time is on. It begins in 1st week of October and ends the 1st week of April.

AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) is equal to Coordinated Universal Time plus 10 hours (UTC +10). It's the same as GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). Love Chris

JAN, THE ADDRESS BELOW IS FOR THE WHOLE WORLD AS INDICATED BY GMT (GREENWICH MEAN TIME)

I believe that should be Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time, Chris and Marian (unless you are in Queensland) as only Queensland is currently on Australian Eastern Standard time during summer.
