I'd love to say this started out as a New Year's resolution to tidy up the sewing room, however, it was the result of trying to find a missing flash drive and 3 appliqued quilt blocks. I never did find the flash drive but I did find the floor and every horizontal surface in my sewing room. So it wasn't a complete loss, I guess... ☺

The U-shaped sewing, embroidery, serging, computer area works perfectly. My threads are stored in plastic drawers under the table. There is a cutting/hooping station on the top of the IKEA kitchen drawer unit. Rotary cutters and rulers hang above at the ready. The white cabinet holds my hoops and stabilizers.
The closet (behind the door with the quilt) holds some of my fabric stash. Plenty of shelves and storage containers help to keep things orderly. The pillow on my chair was from my Secret Birthday Sister - Thank you! Now if I could only find a way to fit my 6 needle machine in here - and find that flash drive, it would be perfect!

I am really enjoying seeing all your lovely sewing rooms,Yours looks fantastic.
I love the Ikea kitchen draws. they are to die for, every thing looks great I can see you have put your chair so you can zip from one machine to the other saving having two. is that a TV you have in their or a very big monitor. I could walk straight into it and feel at home.
Hugs Pam..

I love your designated sewing room, my favorite piece is in photo two. What kind of drawer cabinet is it next to the white cabinet and what do you store in that? It has your cutting mat on top. Love everything and yes where do you store your fabrics? My den/slash sewing non bedroom is gold and just too dark.

It's actually a piece from IKEA and is in their "kitchen cabinet" section. It has a wood cutting board top. When I saw all those drawers, I knew it would be great in the sewing room. I like the fact that the drawers aren't too deep so things don't get buried. I store smaller quilting templates/rulers, notions of all sorts, scrapbooking punches, card embossing plates, one drawer has hand applique quilt blocks I'm working on..... actually I never have to try and find something to store in them, LOL
The fabric I use often is stored in this room - totes under the table and in the closet but most of it is in totes in the basement....

Love your sewing room. I really like your cutting counter. One day I hope to have a room like yours. Happy Hunting and lots of luck.

I love it too, but that's one of the surfaces that tends to disappear under all sorts of things!

Know the feeling. I misplaced my lunch esky bag. Moved rooms with my sewing stuff, cleaned out the bedroom wardrobes and still no lunch bag. And it is bright red!
Good luck! Err, try looking for something else and you might find the items that were missing before your big search-cum-tidy-up. That sometimes works for me.
Love the room.

Well, I did find the missing quilt blocks and the half done table runner and all sorts of other stuff I didn't know was missing! I hope your lunch bag turns up soon.

What a lovely sewing space. I just love how you have found the floor in your clear up. I have a number of flash drives, some live in a screw top jar and one is attached by a string to the machine, along with a pair of tweezers and a small pair of scissors. Took this step after I washed a flash drive... (It still worked so I took everything off it)

Yep, they are "washable" at least once! (that''s experience talking) Wish the one that went AWOL was hiding in the washer - oh, well.

this looks like a great size room with lots of natural light. It is also my kind of room, a place for everything and everything in it's place

It is bright - especially when I took the pictures, we were having a whiteout snow storm at the time - the windows look opaque! LOL

Wow, this looks fantastic! I especially love the white cabinet! Give yourself permission to go buy a new flash drive and then you will be all finished!

Wish it was that simple - the flash drive was loaded with 1200 designs - was a bonus when I bought the 6 needle machine, and, silly me I didn't make a copy..... grrrrr

Terrific work area! I hope your flash drive shows up. Probably in the most simple of drop spots too. Good luck on moving 6 needle in.

The most often used fabric is in the closet behind the door with the quilt - the rest... shhhhh my DH might hear! LOL
I'm not sure how large the room is, I'll have to measure it.
