Sure does change up the look on what fabric you stitch these designs out on.
Dupioni must be gone, but I will bookmark the link.Have you ever pleated dupioni, for smocking? I know Martha Pullen does,but I am afraid to break pleater needles,because it has those 'stubs'.Thanks for the link and your pillows are as nice,as always.-Toogie

I have never tried to do smocking......my neighbor smocks but she uses cotton.
Sorry if all the dupioni is already sold....When Scalamandre has a sale you need to be very quick because Interior Decorators go in and buy it up.
Also about the slubs in Dupioni....If it is from India it tends to have lots and lots of slubs....however if it is from
Europe (especially Italy) it tends to have very little slubs so Italian dupioni may work for smocking.
