Georgie's dress is finished - well apart from the hem still to do. Waiting to know the length from her mum. My first attempt at an invisible zip. Although all the instructions that I read said where to place it - next time I will come down a bit so it wont be so bulky. I am delighted with it. Not sure about the bow - just pinned at present. The bow also looks darker, than the picture. Many thanks for all the advice I received. Sarah.

Thank you Vicki - I have to say that it is my favourite thing to do. I love the embroidery but I feel that I am not doing anything!!!!

Excellent and the tiny print make into a beautiful dress. Great job on the zipper. Can't wait to see her model it.

Thank you Anita - she will probably hate it, although it does have all the animals she loves so dearly.

The best part about invisible zippers is that if you haven't curled it back far enough you can sew another row of stitches until you are happy with it without having to unpick. I think they are so much easier than regular zips. A lot more forgiving and give a classy finish. The dress looks great.

Thank you. I have even persuaded our local material store to start stocking these zips.

Hi Sarah, I'm glad I was of some help to you. It's turned out beautifully, I don't mind where the zip is either as otherwise you have to put a hook and eye or some other fastener. Love the fabric. Love Chris

Thank you Loralye - I have decided not to use the bow - making a little belt instead.

I think you did a great job. The more zippers you put in, the easier they get. Cute fabric. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful fabric! Pleats look great and I put my zipper exactly where you did, mostly because I don't want to have to stitch on a snap or eyelet hook.

looks very nice, of all the things I sew, zippers are what gives me jiggers.
