I was planning on giving a good friend that I worked with a quilt before leaving the KSA to remember me by. I had both of these patterns but couldn't decide which one I should make for him. So I thought i would make both and it would then be easy for me to decide once they were done. Didn't work that way tho! Still had a very difficult time deciding! Ended up giving him the 2nd quilt and the first one is now on our guest bed. Hope u like them!

a beginner? and you machine quilted this ?? You are past beginner believe me! Love them both - what size is your embroidered block please? They are both beautiful quilts. Thanks for sharing the website - she has some great designs. Your version of the labyrinth is way more attractive to me. Thanks for sharing your pictures. Gorgeous!!

Unfortunately, I can't take the credit for quilting these two. I did the embroidery and put the top together but a dear friend did the quilting for me. And yes, she is real good!!!

I really can't remember what size i did the embroidered blocks. A very good website that I used is: http://www.myquiltgenie.com - and typed in double irish chain. It does all the math for u! Hope this helps!

Thank you! The pattern for the first one is the Labyrinth Quilt by Debbie Maddie of Calico Cottage Quilt Designs. She uses the 'No Diamonds, No 'Y' Seams' technique! It was actually a very simple pattern to do and i was thrilled with the results! You can find her patterns at: http://www.calicocarriage.com/
I bought 5 or 6 patterns from her and can hardly wait until i get to work on the next one!

Stunningly beautiful work. I love the way you've stippled all round the embroidered designs. I love blue and white as quilt colours. My bedroom quilt is navy blue and white. Love Chris

Unfortunately, I can't take credit for the quilting in these two. A good friend of mine did the quilting for me but I agree, she does amazing work!

I love the one with the embroidery designs. It is really beautiful. I love the colors you chose. Blue and white or, red and white are my favorite quilt colors. They become timeless. Your friend will always remember you. By the way the quilting is really good.
