Have just spent nearly all afternoon sorting out my Brother PE150 I think the timing has gone wrong as the bobbin thread is not being picked up, found a tutorial on the internet and thought it might be useful to some one else http://brotherpe150180190clinic.b...

AND I found a DEPENDABLE and RELIABLE repairman about 2 hours away----he is fast, personable, nice, takes pride in the fact that he CAN FIX ANYTHING----he stands by his work, will talk to me about what I did right or wrong, will watch me thread and stitch to make sure I am doing it right---I've been embroidering for over 10 years and sewing for more than 60---He is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!

My FIRST machine was a Brother PE 150--about 10 years ago--I purchased one for a friend--she still uses it----another friend inherited a PE 100--it worked-stopped-I told her it was probably the timing--same issues as yours--mine did that once--TIMING!!!!!!!--They have a mind of their own!!!!!!! It is my original and my STANDBY AND DEPENDABLE BACKUP!!!!!!! I tell people--embroidery is addictive---but what a GREAT ADDICTION---and getting help from other Cuties when we have an issue--sewing, knitting, crafts, PEOPLE, embroidery---God bless y'all:):):)

I hope you get it done to your satisfaction!
Thank you for the link, I have a 190D, so this might come in useful some day.

I recently had the same problem with my PE 150 machine. I did not attempt to do it myself, took it to a 'professional' machine repair and he had it for some time and finally got it to work for me. These machines are workhorses (at least mine is) and they take a beating. Although I've read the piece on the internet and its most useful, I think because these machines have some computer elements, I would rather not play with the 'real' maintenance unless I'm absolutely sure of what I'm taking apart. Post your results. thx.
