LOVE THEM, THEY ARE JUST TO CUTE, SHE MUST BE PLEASED WITH THE OUTCOME AND YOU SHOULD BE PROUD AS WELL
These are adorable! I'm sure it makes your grandson feel so much better about accepting the tube when he has these cute pads to show off. I'd love to have these cute designs for donating to my local hospital. If you ever decide to sell the designs, you have a buyer ready & waiting. You are an amazing gramma.
Thank you. I am sorry that I can't sell these because although I did put a great deal of time and effort into them, I stood on the shoulders of real digitizers. I had been wanting to get Studio for Embird and this may be the very force to propel me into doing so, because I would love to give this type of design away to anyone who would like to make these children's lives a bit sweeter.
I would love these as I make these and give them to special needs kids anything to put a smile on their faces. good job
STUNNING! You've got some great designs there. How did you do these please? Have you just taken a circular/hexagonal/square shape and put a design on them and the slit the centre an buttonholed the edge? Love them, love Chris
Thank you Chris. Many of these shapes are from Designs by Cuties. There had been a complete g-tube design here when it was up and running. Some are from my membership on Cute Embroidery. I look for heirloom applique shapes because I like how they outline the shape.(the polar bear is from Embroidery Library) I hoop stabilizer, lay one piece of flannel on top, embroider the designs. I try to do four at a time. I then add two pieces of flannel before the outline stitches. Remove from hoop, cut out the pads, turn, blanket stitch around the buttonhole area with my regular machine. I need to have it neat for Bobby. Otherwise, one could just let them be raggy edges.
Wow, you have been really busy. They look great
Your designs are truely amazing.. hope these work well for him so his little body can grow stronger..
you have done a remarkable job on all of them! well done, hugs Loralye
WOW! ! ! These are wonderful... I can see a children's hospital using something like this. May I ask what size they are 4x4 , 5x5 or ?? Will they all have snaps?
Thank you for sharing. Love the idea..
Thank you. I'd say the sizes average about 2.5 to 3.5 inches. Yes, they will all have snaps. I guess you could use velcro too.
Thank you for answering my question and for sharing how you made them on other comments.. I would like to try this for the children's hospital..
So very generous of you to share tips and information. You are certainly a blessing not only to your Grandson but to this group..
They're lovely, I bet your daughter is thrilled with them.
These are special and a loving gift and fun to look at all the designs!
What a wonderful idea! You are a wonderful grandma!!! I like the one of the little boy in the barrel boat!
Sorry what is a g-tube ?? You have done a lovely job well done L Sherene X
Thank you Sherlene. A rough definition of a g-tube is when someone has a tube leading from outside of their body into their stomach. They are then fed by a (in Bobby's case) very nutritious liquid diet. The little pads I make help prevent the skin around the port or button from becoming irritated.
Thank you for telling me what it was , now I understand , you did a lovely job L Sherene X
What a wonderful GM you are. You were very creative with shape and designs.
Thank you. I have to say, every project helps me learn a bit more about what I will do when I purchase Embird Studio.
These are fabulous. He will want everyone to see!

These are wonderful......what a lovely Grandma you are.....I am sending you a flower X
These are so cute and a lot of love and work. Here is what we use, though not as pretty as yours. There are 80 in the pack, from Walgreens, and we just cut a cross/slit to fit over the 'button'.Easy for school and travel, just throw away. You may have used this before too, just letting you know,an option. You really have done nice work here.
Thanks toogie. I have to let my daughter know about this great recommendation. She had been using 4X4's. What a great alternative.
These are great and love all the details you gave them for the little guy. You got really creative.

What a creative and wonderful idea. It certainly will bring many a smile to your grandson as well as those who see them. He is blessed to have such a talented and loving grandmother
Thank you. They live quite a distance from us, so it's nice to be able to lend a hand however I can.
These are truly unique g-tube holders. You did do a fantastic job making these. I'm sure your daughter is quite pleased with them.
