Question to our quilters, can you tell me what type of batting you use. I have an order for 2 quilts and am wondering what your preference is. I want good quality for a reasonalbe price. I will probably be using the quilt as you go method as I did on my ''Hoedown'' quilt. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Well here in Australia with our climate range I use either natural 100% cotton batting, or wool! It depends on which state it would be going to. Here in Newcastle where it's humid I use cotton batting. Love Chris

Looks like Warm and Natural is the consensus.

I had a long answer for you and lost it when submitting. So here is the short one. I prefer the warm and natural also! It doesn't shift as easily as the loft type. Check out the web site for some neat Wonder Clips for holding binding in place for sewing.

Look under Products, Quilting and Sewing, Accessories.

Hi, Michelle, I use the warm and natural also, It might be a bit heavy for quilt as you go. You might try 80/20 blend. I bought a whole roll from Joanns on line for good price. I really like bamboo but it is more spendy.

the 80/20 is what I used on my last one and I just wondered if this was the right one to use, I may just stick with that,
thanks

Hi Michelle, I use Warm and Natural Cotton batting, however mostly I use white flannel. I have more control over it, and in my opinion it makes really soft consistent pieces. I heard this from a lady at the fabric store while shopping. Cost wise I am not sure which is more economical.
