It's quite a lovely flat horizontal slab of wood or glass supported below by one or more legs (thanks Dennis for the amazing description). I love the turn of the legs....on the table.

It was so lovely to see you and Brian, like a breath of spring having you breeze in. :-) Tao has been sleeping ever since you left and it is now after midnight, I think the excitement wore him out. LOL!
It really is a lovely table, made between 1846 - 1890, we will keep this one for a long time as I just love the barley twist legs and the fact that it has two removable extensions so it is like having three tables in one.
Table pics: with and without extensions.
I'm expecting to see Chris any day now and we'll enjoy sitting around the table having high tea, just for Dennis. hahahahaha.

lovely table! and such a cute fur baby!

Hi Carolyn, no, not crochet, just little rubber cups to protect the floor. I have them, or felt pads, on all my chairs legs.
Oooh, I love cream, too, especially on hot (English) scones with a smidgen of strawberry or raspberry jam. :-)

What with you poppong in for tea and Mrs. P. popping in for coffee, I'm surprised Meganne has had time to get out to buy her new dining table!! I am of course pleased that she has her new table and as for the remaining $150 she should treat herself to something nice. Anyway, I don't think that $150 is going to cover the repair of the fault that I have just discovered with my machine!!

OH NO! Not a fault in your machine too. I hope it is nothing serious.
Mine went in for service in early January and it just so happens they quoted me $150 JUST for the service, it will cost more if they find anything else needing fixing.
