these are so much fun to make & your right about the looks we get when they see them LOL hugs Loralye
I love those. I did some for "the person, who has everything", at Christmas time and birthdays. Put money in the center of roll. People love them. Also sold as gag gifts. My son-in-law, was trying to figure out, how I got the roll under the needle? Ha.
Ha, when I first saw them on the net, I wondered the same thing. Now how will I put that roll under my needle. Dawh, funny how our mind plays trick on us.
I think you did a very nice job.. They are all wrapped up so pretty. Obviously you had alot of doing them... I thought a couple of the comments were very rude. If this isn't something someone else would like to make so be it. All that matters is you had fun!!
Please tell me....why embroider on toilet paper.. seems like a waste of time and energy
Maybe Yvonne it is us from SA who think like this. I have to say I find them very 'tacky' - It is not something I would make. Sarah
That's what they are called, tacky gifts.I belong to a group of RVier and we had to come up with the cutest, funniest, "tacky" gift. When I saw them on the net, I thought, that's it....seeing that I love embroidering. I won a little award.
Did that many years ago when I got my second embroidery machine (think it was probably 17 years ago now) and I brought it my sewing/embroidery club meeting and the owner/teacher saw me walk in with it and told me that they do supply TP and I didn't have to bring my own...LOL Now how about doing embroidery on soap to go with? Link below.
Wow, muffy your soap is absolutely beautiful. please share how you made it. Imagine, and here I thought embroidering on TP was a new thing. I'm really behind. carole
Just a question but how do you get to see the expression on someone's face when they are confronted with embroidered toilet paper..............?
Dennis, most new homes are built with a little peep hole on the bathroom door. Have you changed your door yet? (lol)
You did great job. My best one was for Church auction. The name I used was TP ...........TouchPoint best place to pray. The bathroom is among one of the best places to escape everyone for a real touch point with God. Pastor asked with the most beautiful smile is there anything that you don't sew on? I think I worried him lol yet it brought lots for building fund.
Ha, I brought my first TP at bowling (Golden Age ...you know) and got the same reaction. Too funny.
I have embroidered so many rolls of TP, I have forgetten how many I have done. Everyone loves to get one and wonder how it is done, but I keep it a secret...lol
Good job on yours...
For all the french Cuties, I live in Memramcook NB, I learned to speak Shiac. That is why some phrases are "Worry pas, ca va sortir. J'ai tombe dans le puddle et j'etais tout soaking wet". So cute.
