Well, first of all we mix our concrete in a wheel barrel. My husband has his recipe down pat now. Before, the recipe was "hit and miss" and many bowls cracked either because the weather was to hot, or other reasons. We have a long table (in the garage) and we have sand on it. We make little hills with the sand cover all the little hills with a plastic. Then we take the leaves and lay them face down on each hill. We proceed to put the mixed cement on the back. Then we wait a week for the curing. Once they are cured, we remove the real leaf, wash the bowl, and my husband uses a grinder to remove rough spots. Then it comes to my department (lol) where I sand with a fine sand paper and paint them. How's that? Do you have a picture in your mind as to the process? Carole

I'm with you. Youtube is great to learn. That's how we learned to make them, the problem is no one gives their recipes so it's all trial and error with the mixing. Some mixing that we followed made our bowls too heavy. Carole
