Hi cuties, I am looking for your prayers again & hope that you don't mind me asking for them. It's that time of year again when I go to the hospital for my anual MRI. I had an appointment to go at the end of the month but had a call on the weekend changing my appointment & asking me to come in earlier? Not really sure why but when I asked she was very casual & said she had a cancelation & thought I might like to come in earlier? I am always so nervous having this done & have to be medicated to go into the chamber due to my claustrophobia, it usually takes them just over an hour & I have to have the dye injection as well. I am so nervous because they told me I could get another one within 5 years & this is year 3.............

255054Sounds to me as if you are worrying too much. As you had an appointment for the end of the month, you were lucky enough to get bumped up when there was a cancellation. Take it that way and don't worry! It's going to be a good one!

545I am sending prayers up for you. Don't be worried about going in early for this appointment, it was just a cancellation & you get to have yours a bit earlier to put yourself at rest from waiting for it for longer. Good luck.

52686Dear Loralye, prayers will be said for you for tomorrow (it's Monday here already), but still Sunday in America. I know how you feel as Mum doesn't like going into the chamber either due to her fear of the noises the machine makes. She said she'll have to be knocked out before she does it again, he he he! I agree with others I'm sure it's just they did have a cancellation and also to see how well you've done in this past year - you are a walking advertisement for improved brain injury. You rock girl, go with faith and a song in your heart (even though you're not allowed to have an ipad or music with you) it's still there in your head. 16Will they allow you to take in some music or audio book to listen too, even though you are sedated? It might help to occupy your mind and not concentrate on the silly machine noises. Hope they give you a pillow and a blankie and allow you to take a nap.

Not being a 'smart Alec' here but where I come from 3 falls within 5...besides they just want to look at your pictures, cause they are tired of looking at SICK people! Hope this at least gives you a tiny smile.

before the brain surgery I could listen to a cd but since then for some reason I am not allowed to hear it. This is the halfway mark so I appreciate the prayers. hugs & welcome Leaha to our cute family it is lovely to have you

360663Prayers coming your way. My thought is that the reason they may have called you to come in early is they probably know that you are anxious about the problem and figured since they had a cancellation why make you wait to the end of the month and worry about it for another 2 weeks.

122864If you have not had recent tests etc. The hospital would have no dire reason to move the appointment. I would take it that they really did have a cancellation or your/the doctor will be on vacation...
I have I have CAT scans every few months for oral cancer so I understand your fears.
