Sigh! The vertigo is back and with a vengeance. I am not as sick as I was when it started in December, but it is still ugly. I wish this this vertigo would get up, go and be gone permanently. I am sorry I missed the birthdays yesterday. So I hope all of our birthday Cuties have a wonderful day today filled with love and laughter.

Hi Karen, I tried to get this message to you the first time you had an episode of vertigo, but I was new to cuties and did not send the message correctly. I have had this also and have had the EPLEY MANUEVER and I have been vertigo free for 8 months now. This therapy was prescribed by my doctor, she sent me to a physical therapist. This treatment has been out about 8 years but not all doctors know about it. The link below will tell you about the treatment. My prayers are with you because I know how terrible this vertigo can be. Hi Karen, did you give the EPLEY MANOUEVRE a try? I'm so sorry this is happening again and I pray that it will go away ASAP. Love and hugs etc. Chris

You know, Carolyn - I almost asked Karen if she ever uses ear plugs? Ear plugs have to be removed a certain way (to eliminate a vacuum) or one can get serious vertigo.

Anyone who has had a case of the simple dizzies must feel for you! It is an awful feeling and even when you are relaxing you still feel the room spinning!! So sorry - I truly hope it goes away very quickly and stays away!!! Hugs, Laura*

So sorry to hear this...I was hoping that you had made a full recovery...I, too, have suffered with this for the past 20 years or so..fortunately, each "episode" is less invasive than the last...and they are fewer and farther between...mine is mostly positional vertigo...so I need to be careful what position my head is in...even sleeping...I hope it passes quickly...Hugs and prayers to you...

How awful!

Me too, dragonflyer, but only several years, not 20....when I clean house I have to keep my head above my waist and I can't look up toward the ceiling, it almost always causes vertigo, however I was testing for the BPPV and was said not to have that "version", I hope that Karen can get hers under control quickly...

Bummer, I have a friend with it, it is not fun. I could not drive him without him feeling really bad. He used to chew on crystallized ginger, which was the only thing helpful. I do not know what western medicine has to offer you, you can find the ginger at the health food store.

I echo Dennis' sentiments Karen, I can't imagine how frustrating and bothersome it must be.
My first MIL suffered with this but it was so long ago and I think the only treatment back then was 1/2 a Valium. I hope there is more that can be done for you nowadays. hugs n blessings, Meg

So sorry to hear that this most debilitating problem has returned. I cannot offer any knowledgeable advice other than for you to take things easy and to offer my very best wishes for an early and permanent recovery.
