Beautifully done, Martine!! And what luck on the fabric, makes the covers extra-special, and also far more durable. How did you stabilize it, if at all? Perhaps the weight of the fabric is enough to hold the stitches? These are so beautiful, now the congregation will be in competition for which one they will use, hee hee hee. So lovely!! Hugs, Marji
Thank you. They did not need any stabiliser, but I did not dare hoop the fabric, so i used some tear away to stick them to. Only used one piece, never mind the hole in the middle, as long as I could stick it along the sides it worked. No puckers, no problems, no wss on top needed, it was a joy to use.
the saying goes "everything happens for a reason" i think thisis the reason...beautiful...soozie
Maybe, but the result was that hubby had to transport those boxes to the intended destination, they were to heavy for me to lift.
I was away for the greater part of the day and am quite a surprise to see so many nice comments. Thank you all!
That was NO mistake, but you have done a lovely job sing sing sing L Sherene XX
I would say they landed right place to start with. These are beautiful protecting covers.
This mistake was not a mistake so I see. You make it beautiful. I think they are verry happy to get this.
These are lovely - I'm sure the recipients will be quite grateful, and "sing" your praises throught the year.
Oh my what a project!! But, look at your work - it is wonderful! I wonder how large your church congregation is?? I bet it would be nice to get some help on this project!! Hugs to you!! Laura*
Not that large and weekly attendance even smaller. Parishioners could buy their copy in a bookshop or we could place a larger order via the church giving one free copy for every 10 ordered - nice for visitors etc. It is those i am making my next set of covers for - all cut out and ready to be embroidered and assembled. I'm thinking. of doing a line design depicting the church for those.
Hugs to you too, and thanks.
Way to go may God bless you!!!for service for
