Now, that's what we call "GIRL POWER" :) what an inspiration she was to women everywhere! The world is a much better place after having someone like her in it. Wow. I am sorry dear Sue, that you have lost such a friend....
What a wonderful friend to have had and what a friend you were to her. MHDSRIP
What a lovely eulogy. I did not know your friend, but wish I could have. She led an interesting life and never let it get her down.
What an inspiring life she lead. My condolences and prayers to all her friends and family. I am sure she will be sorely missed.
Sue, as I was reading about the person Ann was, I was struck by what a strong woman she was, how determined and practical she had to be, and yet what a joyful person she was. She made people laugh even till the end of her life. She lived the way we all hope we can. She may have lost the battle of cancer, but she truly won the challenge of LIFE. She lived honestly and influenced everyone around her in such a positive way, and she left a legacy of love. We can all only hope when we go on to Heaven that others will mourn for us, as so many do for Ann.
Thank you, Sue, for sharing this little bit of Ann with us. May God bless you, Sue, as you mourn for her, and may God give you peace and happy memories as you remember her over the years. Hugs, Jan
What an angel you have been to Ann. She is pain free, happy and waiting for you to join her in Heaven one day.
What a wonderful message. I'm sure your friend knows everything you said and is smiling. Keep happy thoughts of her in your heart and she will live forever with you.
So sorry to hear you lost your friend. She sounded like a really lovely lady, and you must be missing her terribly.

So sorry for your loss. Ann looks like such a sweet, caring lady. I, too, lost a dear friend last week, with whom I stayed until her death in hospice. Her husband held one of her hands, and I, the other, as she passed. Losing friends is tough, but their wonderful memories will be with us forever!
Hugs, Angel

Sue what a beautiful piece on Scottie. I remember the first time we met at the NEC at a Quilt show and you said that your friend was buying your machine and you were getting a new one. The friend was Scottie and you also said that she had cancer. Last Feb or March I met Scottie when we met on a very snowy day at the NEC. I just will remember meeting this wonderful funny woman with an amazing laugh. What an amazingly interesting life she has had. I know that Sue is going to miss her friend a great deal.
I have my secrets sisters gift with me every time i go out. It is an owl purse that carries my small camera and keeps it safe.
I have been privilaged to have met Scottie and enjoyed her humour,
Rest now my friend.

Much too young and much too fast Ann had to leave this world.
Her family, you as one of her closest friends and the cute family will miss her a lot but she will be there in the memory of many. You spent many years and also her final days in the hospice with her and she was
wrapped in flower patches of love from all over the world - I am grateful that you did let me do a square of this quilt too.

Sue, I was so lucky to meet Ann at your house when we visited the UK last fall. I so enjoyed watching Mike tease her about her accent. Every time I make the Scones you served I will forever think of Ann. I was fortunate to have Ann's name in the towel exchange a while back. Thank you for sharing her story, for introducing me to her and for allowing me to be a part of the quilt you made for her. Becky in Texas

She sounded like a wonderful person, you were lucky to have known her. Take care!

I was privileged to meet Ann at a Cutie get together at Gillemmerson's, last November. Ann was lively and very funny, making us all laugh with stories of her life. There was no indication that she was so ill, so it came as a surprise when I had a request from Sue for a square for Ann's quilt. I was honoured to be included in this project. My sympathies to Sue who has lost her good friend.
I add my sentiments to Jo's yes that lunch at my home was indeed a lively and lovely time I am so glad Ann had that pleasure. it's goodbye to a lovely ,funny, brave lady. x
Sue I feel so sorry. I did not know about her disease and this is a real shock. My thoughts are with you and with her family...
Hugs, Bettina
I was very privileged to know Ann, any one who had met her would have been captivated by her enormous personality and outgoing humour, she could hold you in awe of what fun she had had in her life, with stories that would belittle the best comedian.
In her life she had held jobs that some of us would never dream of, and though I only met Ann on Cuties get togethers, I was so overwhelmed by Anns personality, I emailed Sue, to say that she was very privileged to have such a lovely friend. Little did I know that lovely friend was in so much pain .
Words now fail me.
Hugs Pam.
God bless you for the love you gave her and for sure she felt it dearly.
Sue, what a beautiful tribute to your dear friend and our fellow Cutie, Ann. I send my prayers to her friends and loved ones. I wish I could have been part of her special quilt - it would have been an honor. All my love from Michigan, Laura
Thank you, Laura. I know that huge numbers of you would have sent a square if I had asked, but then the quilt would have covered at least a tennis court.
Oh Sue - I am so terribly sorry. What a privilege it was when you asked me to join in with other Cuties around the world to make the quilt. Ann was so very lucky to have a friend like you. My condolences go to her family. Hugs from South Africa. Sarah.
