What lovely rooms you have. You have done a great job on the slippery chairs.
You've done a great job of this project -I bet it was hard to stop once you got going!
How smart are you!!! I have been slipping & sliding for years!! No more! Looks like you put a bit of padding under the seat?? My kitchen chairs are so old I can't do them any harm!! But I may do myself harm if those cushions don't stay in place!! Did you cut a pattern to fit it or copy another cushion size??
I used a piece of newspaper and traced the seat. I cut it out until I was satisfied with the shape. Then I cut out the number of seats I needed in my leather fabric, in this case with the kitchen table I needed 6. Then I cut a long strip of leather 1" 1/2 and folded it wrong side with wrong side. I sewed all the way down 1/4". Then I placed my foam on the chair, I covered the foam with the leather. I then made sure the strip of leather had the raw seem underneath and the smooth part on top. I then placed the strip on top of the leather seat fabric making sure I covered the edge. I started at the middle on the back of the chair. I used a two finger method. (Ha) I put a nail every two fingers until I was done. I bought the decorative nails at the fabric store. God I hope this is clear. Probably clear as mud.
Tks! It's clear. I hadn't noticed the strip around the cushion part...glad you mentioned it!
Nice work! Is that maple? It all looks so beautiful!
Just beautiful I love the way you did it.

Oh - this is beautiful. I like your style a lot - have myself a lot of white too
You have done a wonderful job on everything. I love your tray-mobile in the dining area and the chairs have turned out beautifully. Good to see a picture of you too! Love Chris
Just been to your name and given a flower to everything you've put up on here! Your garden is growing!!!!
I wondered what you meant about seeing my picture, had to look hard and then there I am in the mirror. You are good.
Lol at least you were fully dressed, unlike the fellow from Ebay, years ago!
So beautiful, and everything perfectly match together.
a great idea, vynil or leather would make it easy to wipe clean. I can't tell what you used to cover them all. But I can that you like white LOL very fresh looking except for snow. Hugs Loralye
I have a passion for white. White walls to me is the most beautiful canvas you can have. It does not compete with anything else. But then it's just me. I used leather and yes all I do is wipe clean.
Beautiful furniture, but instead of nailing it all down, would ties not have been a better choice. Then you could untie and replace or wash and no damage to the furniture.
That's what I had "ties". I also wanted a country look. Once I nailed the first nail, I was committed.
Wow that looks lovely Carole is your table oak???Thats work that will last for awhile :):)Hugs Carolyn
very stylish - the reusult is very-very nice and cozy
