Wow, you sure wouldn't know this was your first....love the quilting and the fabric coordination!
It is actually my first try at box and my second attempt at free motion quilting.I think I found something else I like to do.
Love the little box. Have also done one
Got the link from noah and asterixsew put another down futher. Thanks for adding yours.
You have done a wonderful job - I am just finishing mine now. Hugs
For the first try of free motion quilting it looks good. Like the colors and your pic with the hat too.
I made many of this years ago. In germany this pattern was in a blog and I made this boxes for gifts with sewing stuff, or shower gel in it.
I maked the box baskets some times ago. Found the pattern there
http://www.sulky-international.de...
The baskets I filled with soap and shower gel or with other things as gifts.
Very nice box Toogie! Those buttons filled it! Yayyy!!! Nice colors and your quilting looks great!
They look great! I will have to try them. Thanks for posting.
I have a stash of fabric samples thaat i havw been given and i think this will be the ideal project for it. lots of small box's that plant pot holders can stand in. even my herbs will look good on the window sill if put into nice bright fabric box's plus i have lots of buttons i can use .
Like you i too need to practise my freemotion embroidery so i will be putting some of those threads that the machine hates into the bobbin and letting ripp with the colors.
thanks for sewing and showing us your projects.
You know they say,'practice makes perfect'.Well I need a lot more practice before it looks perfect.
Wow - what a button stash!!! You must have been collecting them for years. I like your fabric basket, and trhe nice bright colors. Looks quite fun! Nice job.
Oh,I forgot to show you Cuties.I got a few more things when my pc was down, from the elderly lady that gave me that dresser full of fabrics. These buttons were included,in the 'new' stuff.I'll post in Community.
Habe dieses schon als Teelichter genäht,werde sie mal posten

One of these days,I'll figure out how you did that-Thanks-I bet now you want one!-lol
I love your bright colours and the generous size of your box. I know I'll make a number of them - next week. This week I have to sew my granddaughter a Tinkerbell-outfit, and buy some fabric to do it.
Thanks Mops,it is deep.Show us her outfit/costume when it's made, we want to see
wow!!!! bright, cheery and so useful. The stippling is great and it looks like you used variegated thread and that gives the stippling a lot more life. Am I game to try stippling... yet...????
AlmaG.
Go for it Alma! I thought if I used varigated,my mistakes may not be as obvious.I found the med speed on my machine was better than going too slow or too fast.
It looks great, Toogie, congratulations!
Hugs, Lidia
You have done a lovely job with these boxes. Stippling is one of things I have never had a go at. It is no my TO DO list along with a lot of other things. LOL Shirley
I had only tried once before, with ho-hum results.I think I was trying too hard. Also,I set my machine at the slowest speed....didn't do well at all. Then I picked up the pace, med speed, I did better.Who knew.
SHOUTING FROM THE ROOFTOPS CONGRATULATIONS ON THIS GORGEOUS BOX!
