Thank you cuties for commenting on my jonquils or daffodils, your preference. Let's hope for spring!
I looked up the site to see the Blue Danube by Lipper dishes. It is http://www.replacements.com
Hi Kay, I've been using Replacements.com for over 10 years long before I ever came on Cute. I've got a stunning German dinner service (I originally bought 2 sets) and over the years had lost and broken some. So I get them to send me pieces to replace broken ones and occasionally buy new things. I recently bought the Teapot as I've got the Coffee Pot and stand. It's called Baronesse by Tirschenreuth. Love Chris (but I still love Blue and white porcelain)
I will look it up. I also have 2 Lenox patterns and my daughter has 2 Wedgwood patterns and 3 Lenox patterns. I used to collect a 1897 sterling flatware pattern until sterling shot through the roof and figured I had enough for both granddaughters. Kay
Your flowers are lovely! If I'm not mistaken this is a Blue Onion pitcher?
I have several plate settings but had never seen the pitcher.Pretty
Oh child! I started buying this pattern in 1973 when we moved to a new home that had this print wallpaper in the kitchen and breakfast area. I had never been a blue person decorating so i gave away my green dishes and started collecting these. i must say the pattern and cute dishes became infectious and i still use them today even though the blue onion or Blue Danube by Lipper matches nothing in my kitchen. By all means go to Replacements.com or is it Replacements Limited.com to check out all the unique pieces they have to offer .I do see some at flea markets now and then and usually over priced. The soup tureen and ladle are my favorite. Kay
OOH, I needed to see a sign of spring! We have so much snow, it feels like it will never go away! Thanks for showing the flowers! More flowers to everybody!!
my favorite flower. BUT I always plant the bulb upside down.....
Remember the point faces up and the end with tiny roots goes down. They are so hardy that it would probably grow anyway.
The daffs are such a welcome sight. I just love the jug!
Beautiful, we in Germany have to wait some weeks for daffodils, but i have snowdrops and crocuses whichare blooming.
OH Katy, how wonderful for you to have those daffodils blooming. It tells me spring is really on the way. We will have to wait a few more weeks here in Pennsylvania for any flowers to start blooming. I am getting a bit impatient waiting for spring. Love your pitcher. It makes for a wonderful display. Enjoy! and thank you for sharing.
I think we have more bad weather coming in after this warm spell. You PA, folks got it really bad too. I saw it on the news.
Spring is on the way here as well - we have snowdrops and crocuses. The daffodils are almost open and yesterday I found a couple of violets!
Wow, violets don't bloom here until later. I think i read somewhere that gardening is England's #1 hobby. Maybe we can change it to embroidery. kay
isnt nature wonderful every day bring another wonderful surprise...soozie
Absolutely love all smelly flowers, especially jonquils, freesias and daffodils. Love the blue flower jug/vase/pitcher/ewer Kay, love Chris
Well, I'm going to check outside tomorrow!! I live in the TN Valley...not too far from your neck of the woods! I do have daffodils planted here & there around the yard. I love your flowers in that pitcher too!! Come on, spring!!!
very beautiful, we get daffodils here in Australia about august/September where I live....
Beautiful Kay! I'm ready girlfriend, how about you?
I think I may have some flowers coming up -- they better wait though. We are not done with winter here yet.
Weird here too.. 50 degrees Fahrenheit today and we expect snow tomorrow.
Don't know where you live ,but jonquils or daffodils seem to survive. I have always loved them.
All the flowers are used to snow here... it is the warm weather that has them confused. ;)
I'm probably in similar weather here in Alabama and I counted 18 today showing yellow and ready to pop. I think they are waiting for the rain and then sun! I can't wait. We planted several hundred from DH's grandmother's old home site for 3 years in a row, so they should be spectacular this year. Love your blue pitcher with them.
Yes, the ones that bloomed first were from very old bulbs dug up from an old site at least 100 years ago. Kay
my goodness isn't that all fantastic, nature still surviving all that time, our God sure knew what he was doing when He created everything.....
Yes , these were on the property when my sweetie bought his Air Port property about 20 years ago. I went all over in the early spring and dug up bunches and replanted them. We still enjoy them.
