Garden Flags:

I wanted to try Sonia Showalter's garden flags, so have been busy. This is one I did for my daughter. I did it in Red, White and Blue variegated thread.

Chris, after asking that stupid question I remembered her name and found her web page but no garden flags...I thought I looked all over for the pattern for the flag but some how I missed it, could you please tell me what the pattern is called, and the font too if it's not too much bother...Thank you...evie

So very nice...Love it....Is there a pattern or does one just cut any size, I have never seen one up close... maybe I need to drive around and see if there are any here....I really like it and the font is very nice, and my last name starts with a "C" too....your family will love...

Thank you. The design came from Sonia Showalters site. It was a free set. It had the size in the instructions.

Ok, thank you and lucky you, as I looked at the designs and sort of expensive for one design...But they are nice...

Nice job! I plan to make flags using those same designs, but don't know when. Does it take very long to complete one?

jerrib by jerrib 20 Feb 2014

Thank you. I can't remember how long it took to stitch as I had to hoop for each section. I also put the same fabric on the back so the stitches weren't so noticeable.

Love the look. Since I am in Canada, too I need to know where you purchased the metal stand for it. I made one in burlap, but have it pinned on a clothes hanger inside the garage, until I can find a proper stand (OK for now, since I can't even REACH the garage with all the snow!)

I live just in the outskirts of Vancouver, BC. We have a tool store hear called Lee Valley Hardware. I got 6 of the stands for $25.00.
Thank you for looking.

Thank you. Check in Garden shops, they may sell them. I haven't seen any, but sometimes the dollar stores, sell trellis's so they may sell something you can use.
