I missed this one, Mary.........what a terrific design.....great job!
Glad to know it was so simple for you - don't think it would do that for me!
CAn only repeat what everyone else has said - design, shape of runner, quilting, binding, etc - all wonderful!
Beautiful labor of love and I adore Dogwood trees.
(Also, I believe, the legend that you mentioned below includes the nail marks at the tip of the leaves.)
You have done a super job. Love the edging on the table runner.
Beautiful dogwood flowers, very nice runner! You did a very nice job, I wish I could digitize like that!
good luck with the rooms you are working on, your runner is superb and will enchance any room, nice to know digitizing is a soul smoothing job 8-)
Is not it nice you candigitise anything you fancy. That flower and the shape you cut your runner make it very pretty and unique.
It must be so rewarding, fulfilling, to be able to make everything, yourself.I love your dogwood.I never could get one to grow, but they are so pretty when in bloom.
very nice .My Mom loved dogwood and told me a story about it but right now i can't think what it was .i think she had a brooch to i remember it. hugs and i love your work and its nice to see you working and showing again huggers
Thank you, Is this the story.... The dogwood symbolism is tied to the crucifixion of Jesus. The Bible does not mention the tree by name. Myth, or legend, says dogwood was the wood used for the crucifixion cross and because of that, God ordered from that day forward the dogwood tree would never grow tall, but be cursed to be twisted and short. The center of the dogwood blossoms have clustered fruit resembling the crown of thorns
so clever I like it very much. Looks so calm and peaceful not fussy.
