was out for a Sunday drive today when hubby stopped for a coffee @ the Golden Arches, the lid was not tight & I scalded my baby finger it was quite painful & since I had nothing to "stick" my finger in like water I stuck it in the only thing I had @ the time & low & behold the pain stopped immediately! I could see the marks on it right away but now there is no indication of a burn in sight. What did I stick my finger in you may well ask? YOGURT! I had a small yogurt to eat in the car & it worked like a charm!!! this is really good info & I sure hope that I remember this when it happens again ( I know in my life time I will get burned) ..........I just wish I was as sure I would remember this when it happens LOL who would have ever thought of Yogurt as having healing properties?

Glad that worked for you Loralye-I guess my 1st instinct would have been to grab some snow-lord knows there is plenty of that around. You did say you were in the car right?

Ow! Glad you had yogurt for the burn, sounds like it was just what you needed! It has active cultures of acidophilus, so maybe works for lots of things?

Good to know! Mustard works great on a burn, too. McD would have had some of that. I'd never heard of yogurt as a kid, but my mom always put canned evaporated milk on my sunburns. Maybe it worked like yogurt.

Well, I'll have to try that next time I burn myself, which I do rather often, and usually in a very dumb fashion. Was it Greek yogurt? What flavor? Hee hee hee. Sure glad it helped, hugs, Marji

It's the only stuff my wife keeps in our fridge.............................hottible stuff!!!! Still, as long as it did the job then that is good. Cooling and the application of a soothing cream is always a good response. Hope the pinkie recovers soon.
