Is there a preferred file format (jpg-bmp-wmf ,for example) to work with as you digitize, or does your software specify a particular type? I have saved various clipart over the years, and might actually try some. I have EM2, and now that I have been given an old tower with a parallel port, I can put Origins on it and give it a try. Long ago I made some applique letters, and was quite happy with the stitching, but life got in the way, and then they stopped supporting Origins, I got left with an older dongle-not a usb one- and it does not work with a parallel to usb connector. I could not see ( or afford) spending lots on newer software from Tacony, even with a break for trading in the Origins, so never did more.

So the tower was a godsend to possibly play with the program. You will all be the first ones to know if I ever get around to it!

Vector images are nice and clean. I have Embird and 5D Pro, both work well with jpg. And I often use photos I took, which are jpg as well.

That's good, I'd like to try from my photos. I 've taken a lot of flower pictures through the years. Be nice to do them.

If WMF/vector graphics are available, I prefer to use them...they are much "cleaner" to use...however all will work with my softwares...I have Janome MBX ver 4.5 and also Palette 9.
