What a beautiful and thoughtful gift. Well done! Thank you for sharing.
Such a lovely gift, I think they'll be delighted and use it for years.
I remember what we did for my grandparents' golden wedding in 1961 (I thought they were very old at the time) and for my parents' in 1986 (organised the celebrations and made a quilt and thought they were young for their age). Can't believe we will be celebrating our own in October (and think we aren't old at all!).
Hihi Mops, no we follow you end of December for 50 years and feel not old either. Long may it last!!!
I can tell you now that Julian had a heart transplant in 1987 so how about that.
Mops, Shakespeare would say "the worm turns". Congrats on your upcoming festivities and hope you have grand plans. Gillemerson - the cloth is beautiful and such a thoughtful thing to create.
A very lucky couple to be receiving this generous and very beautiful gift! A wonderful keepsake!
Not many people attain this milestone, what a beautiful reminder for them of their love and commitment. They will love this.
A great gift! It expresses much better than a reg store card could. I am sure your friends will cherish this.
Gill this is beautiful and your friends should be delighted with your highly original gift
This is a lovely and very thoughtful project. I'm sure they'll be absolutely thrilled that you went to so much trouble to put their memories into stitches. Nice work!
Stunning Gill they will love it., it is so personal, The Church is amazing.
Hugs Pam.
Its beautiful. I am trying to think of something for my close friends also. What do you get for people who have everything and if they don't, they go and buy it. She doesn't embroider so thought that would be something I could do for them. They also don't want a fuss or gifts.
Hugs
Jerri
oh my goodness - this is lovely! I know they said no gifts but this isn't an ordinary gift. The initials look great and everything looks so nice. The church is amazing! Is that stitched or a photo transfer? Either way this is a very thoughtful gift and I know they will treasure it. What a labor of love on your part. Thank you so much for sharing this.
It is stitched I had help from Sue Dewbury who finds it impossible to resist a challenge!
