Maybe you were just shocked to get good news when you were perhaps expecting bad news? I think it is wonderful !!! God must have some really good plans for you. So, rejoice and give thanks and maybe with the release of stress your discomfort will get better day by day.
Hugs
Lois
thanks but I was not expecting bad news more I was wanting them to say I am all clear & there is NO Chance that I will get another. I am realistic & no that they can't predict that. But it is a lovely fantasy all the same
an update: We tried yesterday to speak to the specialist but he was so busy & we didn't have an appointment so we barely spoke to him in the hallway when he was off somewhere & all he would say was that I was stable & he was confident with that.I was worried & I guess it showed because he took my hands & said you are ok & it all looks good up there & no change is exactly what we are looking for. So half a glass full is better then half a glass empty.
Keep the faith! You have been given the gift of a new day, every day, Enjoy! I pray you will be relieved of your pain soon. Hugs (())
thank you very much & I am sure that I don't get near the pain I would if it weren't for the prayers I receive
What wonderful happy news for you. YEA!!!!!!! So happy for you and if you're not doing the happy dance yet, I'm doing it on your behalf. Make the most of everything you do and leave the worrying about next year in God's hands where it belongs.
Sounds like good news to me. Keep us posted on what the Doctor has to say. God Bless. Hugs to you.
I think you just have to be thankful that you'll see your doctor next year which means you're still in good position despite of all the discomfort you're having, and I will be one of the cuties that will be prayig for you. Take care.
Hi Loralye, Hope all of this is sinking in and you are getting used to this kind of information. I am so proud of you! You are a walking miracle! You have grown emotionally and spiritually on top of you have developed skills that many could not learn. You keep doing what you are doing and enjoy the good things you have created in your life. Best wishes!
thank HIM THAT HE have granted you the time to spent with family and freinds that realy care for you may HE take care of the pain and discomfert and bring more sunshine into your life and take life one day at a time and be happy and smile with body and soul bless you
What wonderful news, Loralye. You've come a long way. But I would go back anyway within 5-6 months. Can't be too careful. Stella
Sounds terrific but I think I wouldn't wait a year to go back. Maybe six months unless your feeling great and have no symptoms or pain of any kind. I have had brain surgery and came out just great and Doctor told me he never wanted to see me again unless I was having pain. Well I have never gone back to him and it's been two and a half years but I am worried every time I have a headache but after it goes away I think O. K. it was just a headache. Good luck to you and I pray you'll live to be a 100 plus (like I plan too.)
well that is good for you but I am in pain on a regular basis? Some days I am great & some days I am not maybe 5 days of every month I am in very bad pain. Dr.'s have said it is the result of reduced swelling. I have lost 3 inches off my head between this time last year &
now & am hopeful that when all the swelling is gone & my head is "normal" the pain will go with it. I am very glad that you are doing well Juanita it is a challenge for sure & it sounds like you are in a great place now. hugs & blessings & thank you for sharing with us
I am so pleased you got this news cleared up, and good to know it is fantastic happy news, I hope you can feel relaxed now and do a HAPPY DANCE that all Cuties are doing for you. xx.
I hope my Happy Dance puts a smile on your face .
Hugs Pam.
ah Pam you are so sweet, not dancing just yet but hoping to get a bit more clarification today. hugs ****
That is great news, Loralye, that's what that means!! A check up in a year is a good thing!! Congrats, and be happy, and say Thank you God for taking good care of you :) If there was something bad, they would have called you (no letter in the mail) and scheduled an appointment right away. I am very happy for you! Flowers to everybody!!!
you "sound" very enthusiastic & I thank you for that I can feel it through cyber space! hugs right back @ you &***
If he doesn't want to see you for a year, then I would say "All is good" but as others have said, call him to clarify the meaning.
As for a follow up in a year, they will check to make sure "All is still good.
Hugs Jerri
Loralye, I can only echo Dennis' very sensible summing up of the situation.
If you are concerned you have every right to call the doctor and ask to have the comment clarified, it's your body.
But having said that, I believe it is good news so I'm doing the happy dance for you. :-)
Hugs and love, Meg
I would say that sounds fantastic. Wonderful news Loralye. You have been absolutely fantastic and how you have progressed is just marvelous. Doing the happy dance for you. Hugs Sarah.
I think this is wonderful news!! Congratulations!
Let's celebrate! Where can we go? what can we do?...I know, Let's all go to Cute and do the happy dance! Looking forward to next years good news!-Toogie
Stable to me means so far so good, but yes do call, and celebrate!!! Sounds like good news to me so be sure!!!! Hugs! Sharon
As Carolyn has suggested................speak to the Doctor and ask specific questions. Personally, it sounds as though they are saying that the results of the condition scanned are showing that there has been no further development warranting action, other than the follow-up annual MRI. However, since you are in some doubt you are entitled to have a more definitive statement. It is your body, so don't take 'NO' for an answer.
thank you Dennis, it is good to put things in perspective & you have said it well, hugs ***
Yahoo what great news. Please as Dennis said call your Doctor to confirm. All the MRI's that I have had, has always had a follow up appointment at the doctor that ordered it.
Well get on the phone and ask your doctor what this mean.I would .hugs
It sounds good to me. But, they want to continue to monitor you - along way from today. Be happy.
Sounds like a celebration is in order (or at least that's what I take of it)
Dance and pretend everyones watching and you don't care....lol That is wonderful news and don't we have an AWESOME GOD! Now GO and Live Life instead of just being alive.... and i don't mean anything mean because i know this has stressed you and your loved ones beyond measure now it's time to relax and enjoy yourself and your family again. God Bless all of you
I know what you mean, I don't want to put my life on hold any more but it is hard to relax without the all clear. I am working on it. thank you Ruth
Take it 1 day at a time and you know He has your back. Put it in His hands and the rest will go easy. Its ok to say no and it's ok to want alone time, it is your turn to do what you want to do. Just know your in our thoughts
I think it sounds like very good news! A WHOLE YEAR before you need to see them again!
Fabulous!!! Congratulations...one less thing for you to worry about...and no more checks for a year...Couldn't be happier for you...What did you spa lady order?
Congratulations on the positive results...they are politely telling you they don't like your pictures any more as you are doing wonderfully!
Remember ASAP (always saying a prayer) works like a charm. So happy for you!
thank you that is a really nice way of looking at this. I hope to give them more crappy pictures then lol
Don't worry you will give them all the crappy picture they want...with the cute family and friends behind you...we won't settle for anything less, thanks for letting me include myself.
There you go Loralye! You are good to go so enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. Hugs..Carol
Great news. Now back to enjoying your sewing. Hugs Shirley
I say congratulations as they don't want to see you for another year. I remember my late grandfather was asked to have a yearly check up for the rest of his life just to see all was fine.
the rest of his life.....................agh! if I must I must but ghee that is sad
That is brilliant news, I am sure when you have had a little time to digest it all you will be over the moon with joy. Bless you xxx
What joy filled news Loralye. Now you have the all clear you can go and do whatever you want to in life. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy and I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful sewing. Love, prayers and blessings Chris
Great news!!! I'm so glad that you have the all clear for yet another year of fun and stitching. You certainly cram a whole lot into one day, let alone what you'll do in a whole year.
Good luck for future results, too.
AlmaG.
I have more information: The brain tumor I had was encased in something called a sack when they removed the tumor there was some "residual" left in the hole where the tumor was located the MRI's are to make sure that there were no cells left inside the sack that could result in another growth & the results indicate that there is no change in that "residual" leftover from the tumor. It's amazing what they will tell you over the phone when you call in tears. I was afraid that stable meant the "new" tumor had not changed. Now I feel drained from crying wondering if I would ever be done with all of this but more optimistic then earlier. Prayers.................they really are amazing. thanks cuties
I'm so glad you spoke with your Dr to put your mind at ease,Otherwise you would of driven yourself crazy thinking the worst. Now take a deep breath and just be happy.
Bev
My prayers for you have been answered and the good Lord wants you to live! Hugs dear friend!
that sounds a lot clearer to me too - and even more wonderful news for you! Try to tune down the anxiety button and just enjoy this good news. It's very hard when you have been expecting bad all the time to be able to see the good and enjoy it. But guess what - it IS good news!! for YOU!!!
sounds like good news to me, what did your spa lady ask you to make?
lip-balm holders, small wallets, lavender sachets, travel wraps, & a hand sanitizer holder which I have to look up she loved the tissue assortment that I brought & wants a dozen of most everything plus a personalized anniversary pillow for herself for her upcoming 20th.
Sounds like news worth celebrating to me as well -way to go!
This is very good news. They would not wait a whole year for another MRI if there was anything to concerned about. Now go have fun stitching. Enjoy the good news.
