This poor little squirrel is probably going to slap Punxsutawney Phil (the groundhog who predicted 6 more weeks of winter) upside the head! I actually got a bag of cracked corn for the doves and squirrels around here, I think the snow may be too deep for them to find their acorns. They've sure been at the feeders enough, poor little guys. Oh, well, they have to eat, too. I hope for ALL our sakes Spring comes soon, everyone up here around the Great Lakes is getting cabin fever, and we've had more house fires than you can shake a stick at, because it's been so cold people are using kerosene and electric heaters to try and keep warm, and setting their houses on fire. What a crazy year! Hugs, Marji
I have blue jays, chick-a-dees, nut hatches, 3 grey squirrels, 1 red squirrel. I give cracked corn, sunflower seeds, peanut butter and suet from when it freezes till thaw! Everybody asks me why I don't go south for winter. I tell them when I done sewing and feeding the birds, I will be able to afford it. LOL Would rather feed the birds.
