We have had the one but warmest winter since they started recording in 1705, the warmest was in 2006. The grass has not stopped growing, crosusses and snowdrops are everywhere. There have been only a couple of days the car windows showed some frost early in the morning, but we had some high winds we usually associate with November. All the nest boxes in the garden are already occupied by great tits and blue tits, a pair of blackbirds has made a nest in the ivy, so spring has sprung early.
Here in central NY, we hade minus 11 last night. It is so cold! We did get more snow yesterday morning and everything is a dirty brown. I know spring is coming but sure will be glad when it gets here.I am so looking forward to putting in a new garden as we just moved here in September and this place just cries for beautification. Can't wait to get my hands dirty again! lol

Here in New Orleans, it's a rainy/cold (36 degrees) Mardi Gras. Watching everything on television.
Here in Tennessee, we had an ice storm. It was even icy on the gravel. Weather this year is so strange. Where is Spring? I think I will go hibernate until then.
Here in Pennsylvania this a.m. it is 5 degrees with feeling like 6 below zero. We did luck out and the latest storm that was predicted missed us completely. So while it is cold and the snow is not melting too fast at least there was not more to shovel. Counting my blessings on this one. Hugs, Mary
I know I have said it before but I blame the governments , it's sending all them satellites and stuff up in the atmosphere it's knocked everything out of sync.lol. Too much hardware up there
In northern Idaho, we have gotten 5.5" of snow in three days. Then today it rained all day and will continue raining for the next few days. We are actually supposed to hit the middle 40's soon.

It is so chilling reading about the cold , As Sue said here in UK we have had so much rain so many people lost their homes. even though it has been warmer than usual no big freeze as yet fingers crossed we are looking towards better times. I wish warmer weather for my fellow Cuties
Hugs Pam.
Here in South Africa it is hot, hot, hot. Thank goodness today is a little cooler.
It just keeps on snowing and snowing and snowing here in the Rockies. There is no place to put all the snow.
I miss green!!!!
1° this am in MO. The ground was covered in sleet frozen solid, was supposed to get snow on top of that but we dodged that bullet. Nicer later this week. Yayyyy!!!
85 sounds devine, 12 has got to be hard to swallow.
it's hard to know what to wear one day to the next, not putting away the winter clothes just yet
Temps below 20 degrees today with another snow storm to shovel 6 plus inches. hope this is the last of it.
Glad you are enjoying (not) the remnants of what passed through Arizona this weekend (and thanks to all those in California that had it last week).... We were 80+ then 60 now back up to 80+ by the end of the week.
Here in Northeast Arkansas we had thunder sleet, freezing rain and in the wee hours thunder snow. It was only 6 degrees this am and is only about 24 right now at 4:30 pm. We had about 5" of sleet and 3" of snow. Spring time anyone? I have a project to mail off but the roads are still iced over. Not going anywhere for a few days. Hugs...Carol
Thunder sleet, thunder snow, mud balls. Remember when all the weatherman talked about was rain or sun, hot or cold?
In Southern parts of Australia we experienced a heat wave when every day for about a week was 44°Celsius. (bush fires in many places) Then got about 30mm to 90mm(depending where it fell) of rain. 2 weeks cool weather, now today back to 37°C !!
Forgive me, I think I brought the cold weather with me when I moved to Texas four years ago. The first city that I lived in Texas, it snow for the first time in 30 years. And since moving a couple of months ago to another city in Texas, it has been cold most of the time. I was always told Texas never got cold, that is why i moved here. mmmm.

They say if you don't like the weather in Texas wait until tomorrow. It's warming up.Up to 32 now. from 12 this morning
It seems my weather in Arkansas is about the same as yours. Nice Sat.,cold yesterday, cold and snowing today.
Well i'm in Northern Ontario its still very cold -35 to -45 at night and the day time will get up to 0 at the most .Not bad for here but its the wind we are all complaining about .Most folks will use double thee oil or wood they normally do to get through the winter and we got a month or more of this left .Hugs Carolyn
We have about the same in Northern Minnesota -34 below this morning. Has warmed up and now is snowing and looks like snow for next 3 days and then maybe plus 30. OMG!
Oh Carolyn I didn't realize it was sooooo cold for you! Stay warm and out of the wind, dear friend!
We've officially had the wettest winter since 1760ish or even before. It has been a lovely day today though. Trouble is, now there is gardening to be done!
We are back in the deep freeze and snow again here in New Jersey.
-9 here in Michigan this morning - seems like it hasn't stopped snowing since Thanksgiving!!! But, at least today - the sun is shining!!! Hugs, Laura*
