Just watched a repeat of the Breat Britsh Sewing Bee that was on earlier tonight.............................very interesting, although we have now lost all but one of the men. I'm assuming that other UK Cuties may not yet have viewed this episode and so I will keep quiet so as not to spoil their viewing.

I have to confess I have not seen anything of this show,
I'm not a keen sewing machinist type of person lol ,
I love my machine embroidery both creating and stitching designs as I do cherish watching my designs come to life....
big hugs from Lon

Lucky thing to be able to watch a program on sewing. I will be watching Masterchef (Australia) later.

I think the right person was voted off last night, and that the right garment was chosen as garment of the week. They did choose some strange fabrics though.....

I agree. I loved the slashed idea and the winning dress was by far the nicest.
What amazed me was that twin needles were a novelty to some.

I agree. I was a little surprised by the judges reviews of that awful leotard-type creation. Just couldn't see how that merited the most innovative reworking of the original garment.

By the way, Sue................the closing date for entries for the next series is rapidly approaching. You should enter.

Too much dressmaking and not enough creative sewing for my liking!

Ah I have a application form that I have intended to send to Sue. from seeing the programme today at my daughters overlock machines appeared to be a novelty for some too. I also have to say that when making trousers/leggings I have always made each leg up individually and then sew together in a U shape from front to back and unless this crotch measurement is not correct before cutting out it is very difficult to make a well fitted pair of trousers. Dennis the leotard-type creation was the most altered from the original than any but still awful. It was the way that Lycra was made out to be so new...
