Give yourself a pat on the back.. you have done a great job putting it all together and not to mention hand stippled, most of us get it machine done.. Marian
Looks lovely and you hand stippled it!! Wow, that's an achievement! I'm sure she will love it!
I know nothing about quilting, but this looks delightful, fresh and very girly to me...just what she ordered! How does one hand stipple? :-)
Oh MaryWhat a great job you have done on this .Your LONGGGGGGGGG hours have payed off well .She will love it and so will her parents .You are a Great Grammie:):)
My birds are coming home???Well please keep them another few weeks we got another 4 inches of snow yesterday-and it is still freezing here.:):)Hugs Carolyn
Bless you and thanks for your encouragement more than you know.
Like I mentioned below to Loralye..... you guys need to stop sending your cold and snow and let the South of you all send you our warm and we can all be content. Then you will hear us all complain how hot we are. I certainly hope not. If I do please remind me. That is not allowed.
;) hugs Mary
You have done a wonderful job on this quilt Mary! Do tell those birds to hurry on over I am disenchanted with winter & it can leave ANYTIME!!!!!! ~hugs~
From listening and watching weather I know too many of us are ready to enjoy. My pussy willows are starting to show their fur. The spring flowers are up out of grass. So signs and wonders of Spring are popping up all over. I am South of you so if you lol will quit sending me snow and cold I will push you up some of much warmer than you have temps and we can get this spring sprung and going.
Thank you so much Lorayle~hugs.
It's very pretty! I don't think there any rules to doing quilts, the beauty of it is some are easier than others. I love it and I'm all about doing something simpler. There is lots of work in this one, and it's very nice and it is one I would want to snuggle with.
No rules just patience of getting there is one of rules I am laying down in my own displine. I love others work much more than mine. always have. I agree simpler helps keep me more in line lol. Bless you for commenting. Hugs~Mary
Your colours are wonderful and it looks so cozy. Well done Mary. Hugs Sarah
Looks good to me. I would be proud to own this. Don't put yourself down, at least you finished it and it looks great. Love the colours..........Ann
I always expect to do better and better. This one was better than my last. Thank you for your nice comment.
Well like me,you have to start with a first.I think the colors are mixed well and if you don't hurry up and give it to her Carolyn will see it.She does like purple!I am already thinking about doing another one,am I crazy or what?!
Go for it girlfriend your quilt was absolutely top notch. I love seeing beautiful projects.I have only done few quilts but this year I am determined to try for more.
This quilt is as happy as your DGD will be when she receives it.
Thank you very much. I certainly hope so she is pink and purple everything.
I think you did a fantastic job! And I bet that it is very well received. Did you label it? That is an extra touch of love and remembrance.
Thank you so much! I agree on the label and it is in thought process and I hope to do 5 more between now and Christmas for other Grands. Also have hubby hinting so this is a quilt busy year for me. Plus all my other on goings I don't get bored.
First, it's beautiful, second, THERE ARE NO QUILT POLICE!..:) I enjoy cutting material into pieces, and sewing it back together. Tada-quilt. And now I start with embroidery and go from there. Whatever makes you happy makes a great quilt.
Jo

Beautiful. And I do believe spring may be on the way...but am sure the folks in NC don't believe it today!!
Thank you! Just 4 days ago we had 4 inches of snow that was fresh. It is so muddy today but warm enough to do a squishy walk about and enjoy.
