Brother machines do not require a special folder for the designs (and some don't like folders at all). Just use the computer to copy the designs to the USB stick and put it in the machine slot. There should be a button that looks like a little pocket where you can open the designs from the USB stick. I generally only keep on my stick what I am going to work on soon - so only a few designs - much easier to find which one you want to sew.
Oh Thanks ,that's perfect ,I should be able to help Diane ,then, thanks so much
My suggestion is to see what is on youtube as there is a vast wealth of information about most things one wants to know. From my knowledge it is simple to transfer skills from using one embroidery machine to another. Brother machines work in pes and from having used a number of them they are simple machines and usually the screen gives you the information you require. They are also very robust and even with some very heavy handling are rarely affected. Have some fun sorting out with her how it works
I did look on you tube ,but didn't find out what I needed ,I have used it for so much ,like information on using my quilt frame
so by my understanding Christine you dont need to make a folder for the designs ,,,,Is that right ?
Yes, pes should be fine. You can get a manual at the link below. If the link does not work just go to brother-usa.com - support. The link is to the innovis950D.Since I have an innovis I knew what to look for and the largest image area for this machine is 100 x 170. Also you can transfer designs to this machine via card or usb (direct connection to the computer does not work). Ped-basic 1.07 is also available on the website (you can view designs and write to card), so with a USB (approved list on the website) using windows explorer, you CAN get designs to the machine.
