Looks like a great machine!! Very happy for you!!! Such fun you will have!! I have the Brother NV5000, the Laura Ashley machine. I also have the Brother se400. That's my machine I use for regular sewing or simple, small embroidery. I also have the Singer XL6000. and the Singer black anniversary machine. Singer and Brother are my favorites.
I almost got a DreamWeaver a while ago. It was just to hard to justify it but since we have the same ULT I think you should do it and tell me how it goes : )
I am so jaleous, here in France the same machine cost about 6000 euros, grrrrr... Hope you will have much fun with you new toy. ... Hugs, Celine
Oh Jan, you will be so happy with it!! I have loved every minute with my Quattro!! They have similar features I think. You will be humming a bright tune every day you spend with it:>) Hugs and congratulations on your great news! I would definitely go for it, the free stuff is a big attraction too:>) Is the Dream weaver up-gradeable? One of the neat features of the Quattro is that there are upgrades as they inprove or increase the features of the newer models. Hugs, ro
I am sending you a pm too:>)
They told me for trade in all I have to bring in as a machine with a needle in it... So... should I trade in my old Singer that doesn't work anymore... or should I trade in my ULT 2003D that does have just a little life left in her? Maybe I could sell her for cheap to someone who wouldn't mind her idiosycracies...
This is a no brainer...take the old Singer...keep the ULT ...you will be disappointed if you don't have a machine to sew on while you are embroidering!
If they are giving you the same trade value amount for either - take the busted one.
Sounds like someone is going to get something special! I have the Brother Quattro - which does sewing and embroidery and you can get the extension table for quilting. I have a babylock machine I use for sewing & quilting (that has the extension table) so I did not get the table for the Quattro. I also never sew on my Quattro - I just leave it set up for embroidery! The Quattro is my second brother. LOVE IT.
I love my other two brothers, so I know I'll love this one too! I'm having a hard time waiting till Thursday!
Dear Jan, I'd say go for it. Make sure you have good tech support and service etc. Love Chris
Makes me happy cause your happy.I love good news .ENJOY ))Hugs Carolyn
It is a dream come true! What a boost to help me make it through the rest of winter too!
Go for it! We always seem to hold back! I'm sure you will love it.
How wonderful for you, your excitement bounces through the post. This is a dream machine, such wonderful features and abilities. Hope you are able to swing it. The free scan and cut is also an incentive. Happy shopping!
If you can budget it ... go for it. I have a Brother and gave my Brother 4500 to my daughter. Any problems have been due to operator error. A lot depends on the dealer support available. If operations classes are available take them. You know how to sew, but you don't know the ins and outs of the new machine.
How expensive is it? I like the idea they will take your trade. I have an 03 babylock which hubby would shoot me if I got another. lol! I'm green with envy 7x12 embroidery field. WOW!!!
It's on sale, and they are offering $2000 for trade in, And a free Scan and Cut with the purchase! I just wish it wasn't blue. But, I could get used to that, right?
Yes Ma'am lol! Blue may well become your favorite color! Great deal!!! That Scan and Cut may become your new favorite toy too, I'm hearing a lot of people loving them.
Oh, DO IT, DO IT, DO IT! Looks wonderful and you will certainly enjoy it.
Whoo Hoo! Yeah! I am so happy for you! You will do so much stitching!
I am sooo tired of fighting with my old machine... shredded threads and constantly rethreading. How thrilling it would be to just stitch!
two of my friends have that machine & love it - sounds like an awesome deal .
Is there anything they don't like about the machine? Please ask them!!!
I have 3 embroidery machines and I am very satisfied, the oldest one I kept on sewing machines that do not modify, the two embroideries and one I sew,,, I think that Brother machines are high quality experience for 20 years,,, If you decide, I wish you much success Marie
Hi, I always buy a sewing/embroidery combination machine. Should you ever have a space problem, you still have all your machines!
What a pleasure - go for it!
Anneliese
Congrasts, my dream machine, working towards it, have only used Brother machines and I love them, enjoy would love to see your creations.
I don't know that machine but my Husqvarna Viking Designer II is a sewing/quilting/embroidery machine. It does a magnificent job in all three areas but...... it's a darned nuisance to have only one machine doing all these things because if you need to do a small ordinary sewing job after machine embroidering you have to dismantle the embroidery unit and set up the sewing unit - a real pest if the sewing job is only quite small. I eventually bought an Ambition 1.5 Pfaff machine to do all my normal sewing jobs and I'm keeping the HVDII set up for embroidery only. I haven't done any quilting since I bought the new machine and possibly if the quilt were a large one I could probably get the quilting done on the HVDII since it is a bigger and heavier machine.
Just my thoughts .....
So, I guess I'm trying to say if you have an old normal sewing machine don't get rid of it because it might come in handy one day when you're in a hurry to get a project done.
Meanwhile, I hope you have the fun o' Cork with your new machine. It sounds like one made in Heaven.
AlmaG.
Thanks, Alma. I do have a baby Brother that is pretty new: It's a SE 400 and it sews like a dream and actually has a 4x4 embroidery hoop that I will keep so I can stitch while this new one is embroidering. I think that is a really good idea too. I'm really impressed with this little one too. It was only $300 with tax and it's super portable. I've been struggling with the ULT, which I bought used, for quite some time and it has over 24,000,000 stitches now!
I think the name fits.Brother sure can make you 'dream' about their new machines. It is making the dream come true, that's up to you.If it serves your purposes, your other is a troublemaker, you can afford it,I say 'Go for it!'.Why not have the best of all 3 worlds, sew, quilt, emb-LOL
I don't know Brother, but if it is what you want. go for it!!! Keep up informed what you choose!! I would love to have a new machine, but I don't have the money even when they offer the supper specials. Kay
