It is a fun piece! You have a done a great job on this. I'm sure he will treasure it his entire life.
Very nice. Is it your pattern or where did you get it? My oldest Grandson wants one. Thanks damaris
Hi Dee, I had bought the materials then began picturing it in my head and slowly made each row and this is what I managed to make LOL
first of thankyou sooo much for your frosty design last xmas!!!!! a big hit across the country for my family. several made it on facebook! i have a car quilt in mind also. love how you added the safety feature of the helmets!!!! sincerely, lynne
Dolly, It is just beautiful! I know he will love it. And, something I really like is how the colors are balanced so well. You have the large green spaces off setting the smaller car spaces and then the blue roads just set them off perfectly! He won't know whether to play or sleep. He will probably fall asleep while he is playing! Just wonderful the way you pulled it all together. It is attractive and filled with love!
Ouch, but worth it. After all, he is priceless and will treasure this for many years to come.
Wow, that is pricey. I know fabric really adds up and some of the prints out there that are really cute like that usually are the priciest! Very nicely done! I have not made but 3 or 4 quilts but on a couple I had done, I took a flat sheet to use for the back, or cut up for the sides and they are can be had for a lesser price and come in matching colors too. Do you have any leftover fabric to cut for corners or strips for the sides?
It's amazing how the cost of a quilt can add up, now if you it quilted by a long-armer, it just keeps the price going up. I couldn't believe my first quilt, when I when to buy the backing I almost fainted .
Looks Good.
