Okay................out of the kindness of my heart, I have done you all a big favour (no, don't thank me) and enrolled you all at The Sweet Home.com where Meg Muckenhoupt is looking for 'experts' to interview about what makes a good pair of scissors.
Now, my first thought was that this Meg Muckenhoupt might have been our Meganne or perhaps a pseudonym for that Cutie who started all this scissor business (you know who you are)!
So, you should all be receiving a PM shortly from Meg asking for your views. I have already passed on my new-found expert knowledge of this subject, based upon some of the comments you have provided, as follows:
1. Must be pretty.
2. Must cut paper well.
3. Must be easily misplaced.
4. Must be very expensive.
5. Must be available as an even more expensive 'limited edition designer' version.
6. Must be sharp and strongly constructed to enable the cutting of men's toenails.
There are, of course, many more but I'll leave the remainder to you to inform Meg.
This blog has to be from one of our Cuties! There are some very pretty scissors here! I don't have some of them.... wonder if I should go shopping??? Waddya think, Mr. Dennis???
Lol! I will check it out tomorrow when I have more time. Too funny!
Some people will collect anything. My scissors are for using! It is not a collection. I have only 'collected' them into a drawer to make them easy to keep safe (& locate)....
Sue, The question begs:- What were you looking for when you found this site?? :-)
I was thinking of treating myself to some applique scissors and got a bit sidetracked!
You've got to be pretty desparate to feel the need to write a blog on scissors. After all is said and done, the writer could have saved the time and just visited Cute where they would have come across more sad people than you could throw a stick at............................you know who you are.........................................LOL
I just noticed this blog spot is in the UK...maybe this is secretly HIS!!!! LOL
This will make Dennis so happy! I think most of my scissors get so much use, I don't need to worry about collecting antique scissors.
You need to find yours first.......................they will probably be antique by the time you find them!
Well 7th heaven for us. Just wondering if scissor collecting is certifiable or not?
Kinda thought that was the direction WE were heading! hehe
Wow, jus t wait till Mr D sees this :)
Poor man is probably still in a queue in a computer shop somewhere having fun or not
Wow, indeed, Mrs. M!
I am here now.................and names have been noted!
Those loaves of yours are lethal................I have the Ordnance Disposal Unit outside of my house right now!!
