I have news on the scorching of my apron: Unfortunately the peroxide & the vinegar (both cider & reg) & the lemon juice did not work but one of my girlfriends told me yesterday to try a dryer sheet (fabric softener sheet for the dryer) to iron it over & over again & I used 5 sheets & I can see where it took most of it off. I think if I would have tried this before I washed it & the other ideas it may have worked right off. I have it in the washer now but I could see where quite a lot of it had already come off. A very good tip to know. Thanks Judy!

I have used the wall washing sponge Mr Clean Eraser with pretty good results for cleaning my iron when it was messed up from burnt spray starch.

yup that's what I did too but must have moved the dial when I did it & that's how I scorched the apron

You could also have tried rubbing some wet pure household soap (like Sunlight soap) on the scorch and hung it on the washing line.

Of coourse when the soap was dry, you then wash the item.

I'm so sorry nothing worked to take out the scorch mark. I messed up an apron several months ago. I stitched out the design on a contrasting fabric, cut out the damaged part and stitched the patch on. It looks great.

This tip couldn't have been more wrong!!! I went from this to this! It is nothing but a waxy feeling mess! So I have learned if you scorch it throw it out or cover it up!
