yep gallivanting was on the list for hubby and I yesterday ,off to Penrith to do some shopping ,I like to buy local but sometime we just don't have everything up here in the mountains. The home by 2 and made Bruschetta for lunch mmmmm it was so good
Ah!! So this Penrith is in Auss then.................not the one in Cumbria, UK! Ooops..........better edit my post to Meganne.
I love Bruschetta................yummy.
Hi Dennis, I was gallivanting about up in the Hunter Valley at our best friend's place - they own a winery called Montvalley. We had a lovely relaxing time and I had no sewing. Mind you I did buy another pair of Canary curved scissors last week when I collected my Husqvarna. The glass led piece shattered - $470.00 to fix it. Only $150.00 labour, but the piece of glass!!!! Anyway hope you had a great weekend. It's nearly 11.30am Monday as I write this and I'm going out for a coffee. Italian class is off for 4 weeks! Yeah, Amy, Steve and the girls are down in Canberra visiting the rellies and this weekend they are off to Bali! Aren't they gadabouts? Love Chris
Yikes..............$470.00..............I hope you haven't told Mr. Pennifold......lol. I haven't received a bill for the work on my machine from a while back, as yet. I'm keeping very quiet about that. I shall ignore the comment about the scissors. Wishing Amy, Steve and the girls a wonderful time in Bali..................................lucky people.
Been busy making those little bunnies. They are popping up everywhere. Shirley
We are resting, in preparation for the next month of tormenting you, kind, Sir. LOL
Get ready...Get set...April is just around the corner!
I thought you needed a "day off" and it seems that you indeed needed a rest. Your brain still is having issues though. I am most definitely female and I have been reading and following maps for many decades. I am sure once you have had enough rest you will realize the error you have made. ;)
I wasn't questioning anyone's ability to read and follow maps, just the matter of ending up in the intended location.
I am retiring now to my deep bunker...........................
I think the "MAP" comment needs rethinking. I don't have GPS just a road atlas book and I get around very well in new towns and states.
Also I am a WOMAN the best man for any job.

So basically (and given a small degree of poetic licence) I was right! Even though there was no gallivanting involved, you were all using or thinking about scissors!
I do worry about you lot! lol
My handsome hubby and I went to see a movie. And my scissors still have not shown up. Since I still cannot drive, I am dependent on Rob. Hmmm, there is always Amazon. I really do need to replace those runaway scissors.
Hope you both enjoyed the movie. Now..........about these lost/misplaced scissors. Why not ask your handsome hubby to look for them? After all is said and done, being male (and handsome at that) he will be able to apply a far more logical approach to the search quest. It's very much like map reading which has never been a positive female trait!
Could I also suggest that given your current dizzy state, that you defer the Amazon idea until you regain all your faculties. What may look like the perfect replacement for the missing scissors in the Amazon catalogue will probably arrive as a pair of pinking scissors........lol
Hmm..... Thanks for reminding me Dennis I want to search for a new pair of applique scissors.... Lol !!!
No quiet days at home in a chilly bit of the UK. Have been having fun with my scissors though especially the ones that I use in the kitchen. They take apart into two pieces - great fun
Mmmmm................you have some strange pastimes in Welsh Wales.................lol
and they are not considered broken? do they have a catch to keep them together?
I love my Fiskars kitchen shears that come apart into two blades for cleaning. They even cut fine to thick plastic.

No gallivanting for me either - although I do have a pair of applique scissors in my Ebay watch list! I made a couple of those felt bunnies to put mini eggs in and a couple of ITH bookmarks.
The first morning of British Summertime has dawned bright and sunny so lets see what today brings!
Would that be the same pair of applique scissors that I have in my FleaBay watch list? ..............Only joking.
No new scissors for me for the next few years as I ordered the6D Prmium upgrade. It arrived on thursdsy just as I went down with a high fever - so I am contmmplating my sins instead of gallivanting or installing the new software, having my hubby doing his own cooking (deepfrozen pizza's and tinned soup) while I enjoy liters of tea and the occasional apple. But i have been able to read the manuals. They are half the size of the 5D ones, which is not a bad thing, and so is the size of the letters too, which is not something i fancy. These old eyes need a magnifying glass for the small script - which I skipped and that is exactly where the best info is given. As soon as I'm able to sit down for half an hour without shaking too much I'll install my expensive new toy and start playing. In the meantime my iPad keeps me "communicado", so to speak.
So sorry to hear that you have been under the weather, Mrs. M. I do wish you a very speedy and full recovery.
My essential tremor is so bad I am looking forward to Gamma Knife brain surgery. In and out same day. Just have to drive 400 miles to do it.

Oh, I hope you are feeling better by now! I don't like that fine print either! Rest up so you can hit the floor running tomorrow!
Sorry to say my gallivanting days are over. I usually keep my scissor angst private however, it is so difficult to go through a stitching day with out a pair of small curved applique scissors which today disappeared almost in front of my very eyes, They were there one minute and gone the next. Needless to say my mood went south. I did get through the project and expectations were met, still ... until they return...
I cannot believe the number of times and the number of you girls who manage to lose a pair of scissors whilst using them! lol
Do stitchers in the UK know the term stash? Dennis, you haven't seen my stash. There's barely room for me to wiggle my chair left or right or slightly backwards at the machine before I run into fabrics, threads, buttons, trims, completed projects...
It is not only scissors that go missing while being used. I lost a bobbin yesterday. Found it out in the dining room next to my laptop......
I have about a foot of floor space and I reach to the end of the ironing board. Spring cleaning is here and Oh boy!
It was 38 degrees here today, so had to go to town (36 miles away) for food. We are getting a blizzard and 12 inches of snow on Monday. Machine at hospital. was going to get it Monday! Oh Well!
Yes i been all over town picking up those deals i got me some fabric all the way from Florida to Me (Northern,Ontario) for 4 bucks a yard Great deal along with 10 fat quarters for a buck each .Great day :):)Carolyn
I am learning how to use all the bells and whistles on my new machine - while watching the Vikings on TV with my DH. Is anyone else watching that?
It looks as if everyone is making bunnies to be filled with goodies for Easter. Dennis how is your Easter project coming along,no waiting until the last minute allowed
Bev
oh gosh, yes i have been galvanting and though i truly don't need them i did look at a few pair in wally world today!!! lol, lynne
I was looking at a nice pair of Ginghers at Joann's with a 50% coupon....... What would I use them for?
I can't find the only pair of small curved that I have been able to find since ... I need to go to Joann's.
