Just trying to catch up here and thank everyone for the suggestions, ideas and links I really did appreciate all the responses.
Below is the finished towel which the birthday 'boy' really loved and I so enjoyed creating it for him.
hugs n roses to all, Meganne
can this be an idea:
If it's Lawn Bowls, Glenn Harris has some, Emb Lib has a simple silhouette as well. For general 'old folks' designs, I'd head straight for Emerald Originals :) Nicoles has some great Gus designs.
Thanks so much.
Actually I could give him a lawn bowler as a joke, it would be really funny. hugs, Meg
Here's another one......this one is a 4x4........you can email me!
Thanks so much Vicki, I decided to digitise an old man tenpin bowler, it hasn't taken me that long. I'm just getting lazy. LOL!!!
hugs, me
Meg........I have one here.......it can be resized
Thanks everyone.
One of my (ex) bowling partners is turning 50 so I want to make him a towel with "Old Farts Club Member" on it and I thought an old man bowling design would go well with the text, but they are surprisingly difficult to find.
I have now started digitising one as I can't justify paying $10 for a design I would have to alter anyway, when I can digitise it myself.
I guess there is a price to pay for laziness. LOL!!!!
Thanks heaps though, I got a good laugh out of the funny ones I looked at.
hugs n roses, Meg
Lots of oldies here
Thanks sewilso, I didn't go through all of them but she does have some great Oldies doesn't she.
hugs n roses, Meganne
Thank you Meganne. I was scrolling through them this morning, definitely some interesting designs and not all were old folks. Hugs, sharon
Sorry Meg, I didn't have time to find any links when I posted earlier.
yes. these are the Gus designs. They were companion to the Stella designs. Several sites had them. You might also check Goldenneedles designs. I has been a couple of years since I stitched them and I have forgotten. Kay
It never crossed my mind that this could possibly be for Ray!
What about one of the incarnations of "Gus"?
Here's a beauty! Love me
Sorry Meg - I have looked through my files and do not have an old man - lots of old women. LOL. Sarah
