Baby quilt with cross-stitch blocks from The Purple Hat a long time ago. Don't know if they are still available. The back is white fleece.

This quilt is so beautiful. I've been wanting to make a baby alphabet quilt for the longest time, but I'm scared. I've never made anything like that before, but you've inspired me to want to try it. Thanks.

It was only my second quilt, first with embroidery. The only hard part was being pushed for time. The gingham remnant from a ribbon factory had been treated with a sizing that didn't wash out. Perhaps that made the fabric squares handle easily. Embroidered white fabric was linen-cotton blend from Martha Pullen with a fusible stabilizer.
Thanks to everyone who commented!

Great job. I've been keeping alphabets for awhile. Maybe time to follow your lead. Love the simple border with it.
