These are all very good ideas but I went a different way. I do thank you all for your ideas they sparked the idea that I decided to go with/ ~hugs~
I wouldn't cut them apart...I'm with Chris...I would use some ribbon or bias tape and make "sashing" across and down...just like you would do if you were adding sashing to blocks...stitch it down on each side very close to the edge and you could also run a decorative stitch down the middle of the ribbon if it were wide enough...then I would add a border all the way around, and perhaps an outer border as well...depends upon how big you want it to be...it would make a cute table runner or wall hanging...add the backing and batting and some stipple quilting...darling!
The easiest way Loralye is to place some bias binding or some sort of ribbon etc and use that as a border! I hope you understand what I mean. good luck with it all. Love Chris
I would cut the first 2 columns apart and then sew one of them to the group of 4 designs on the right. Divide the other vertical column that you cut and cut in half horizontally and sew to bottom or top of your 6-patch and add your final design. Then use decorative ribbon to cover the seams and make it look like lattice work in a quilt.
Be sure and post your final project because we're all dying to find out what you do. Good luck!
Pretty!!! Fussy cut then frame them in a block....sew all together for the wall hanging???
