I am so impressed at the quick growth of this baby eaglet that was shared with us all a few weeks back. It is quite an educational experience to see the way the mother protects her newborn: feeding it rodents & fish & whatever else she is able to find. the way she positions her body to block the wind & the way she tucks it into her undercarriage to protect it from the rain! I find it fascinating & my grandchildren are loving it & have been checking in everyday & sending me emails to ask: Nana did you see what she did today......Did you see the baby has feathers today ..... They are loving it too! Thank you so much for sharing this with us Jerrilyn. Cuties are so terrific!

Glad you are enjoying it. I am too! Eagles mate for life so we may get to see these parents raise more babies next year.

Its amazing how that little cute ball of light grey fluff has turned into a large recognisable eagle in just a few weeks. My husband and I are really enjoying watching its progress. Many thanks to JRobb for introducing us all to this webcam.

Almost all those baby feathers are gone! He looks black all over. I forget when they finally get the white head...but I know it's not for a year or more. Elegant birds.

You can just see the tail feathers starting to grow & they look so neat. There is a little fluff on his head but I have never seen this before so I have clue how they develop but am really enjoying the whole experience, even seeing the rodents brought for meal time yuk but the baby sure likes it.

I visited the website earlier today and couldn't believe how much the little one has grown. Mind you, seeing the size of the food portions it was taking from the parent, I guess I should not be that surprised. As you say, it is fascinating to watch. Thanks for your post.
