This is a simple king size rag quilt.... hang nail as I call it. Done with shouts of glee. Would still be sitting if it had not been for the trusty scissors in picture number 2 hubby got me a year ago. Now for the biggie this is my BIG UFO for Loralyes challenge to finish our UFOS. This sat for what I thought was 7 years well it was more like ten and it was because reg scissors were hurting my hands. The tendon or muscle part whatever it is in my thumb does not get along with regular scissors. So Mr Dennis I agree better know where they are and there is ....certain ones for certain things. With a :) that is almost sinister... I will not be doing another simple small square snipping project again anytime too soon. Next is Pillow shams and I hope find enough real grapevine to make either a headboard or design at head of this. Plus some new curtains. The shams not sure but going in the blue zone I believe.

Wow Mary what a fantastic rag quilt! And what a huge endeavor I can honestly say I understand why you let it sit & thank goodness for the snippers!.... they almost look like tin snips? I am happy for you that you were able to finish this. Well done! ~hugs~

My goodness you used tiny squares for that quilt as it looks to be at least 30 rows across your king sized mattresses!! I do not think anyone's thumb could have endured without the special scissors!! AWESOME job!

Would you like me to send you my UFO, baby John Deere quilt, to finish, since you already have the right scissors for the job? I gave up about 4 or 5 years ago on a crib size! I can see why you put this up,what size is this, full, queen or king? Aren't you glad Loralye dared,...uh,oh, I mean 'challenged' us?-lol- Great finish-Toogie

You have done a lovely job with this rag quilt!
I also have a pair of scissors similar to those My hands would rebel -- if I tried using regular scissors.

Thank you! I try to take care of my hands only get the one set. I started taking slow magnesium and have regained a lot of my hand strength. I like to think there is some truth to getting older and wiser.
