Hi cuties! I have been out of the loop for a bit as I had a total hip replacement on March 24th. I did tell my boss I would not be returning to my job after my surgery so this will leave me lots of time to get back to playing with my sewing machines! So far, I am not feeling quite up to sitting at my machine for long periods of time but I can feel, it is just around the corner! :) In the meantime, I have been making some leg slings for the hospital - which I will drop off at my 6 week check-up. Very basic and very easy to do but hey, if it will help someone, why not?! The one I got was kind of plain and ugly so think i may do some embroidery or fancy stitching on the ones i makeā€¦..or maybe even words of inspiration! Looking forward to feeling good enough to getting back into the swing of things real soon! In the meantime, I will try to keep reading all your posts and projects and make my 'to do' list, even longer! lol

When my Dad had a knee replacement, I started telling him he was the Bionic Man. So, now you are a Bionic Woman!! Happy recovery, soon you will be kicking up your heels! *flowers to all*

Thanks everyone! I have 2 mug rugs that i need to make for a swap (my first one). Thot i would start out small with the leg slings and then the mug rugs! I also have a set of 8 placemats waiting to be quilted and I have a 'One Block Wonder' quilt (queen size) that needs to be finished. I will post pics when they are finished. Once I have these done, I will be able to move on to something new! Soooo looking forward to it!

Welcome back. I hope you will be up and energetic very soon. That is so nice of you to do the leg slings. I agree, it will make a painful time more bearable.

Glad to see you back. The patients are going to be happy not having to look at plain and ugly slings. That is so nice of you to sew them.
