Like you I like to use 505 and my hoops get sticky, I often soak my hoops in detergent.
I haven't washed my hoops before, they are now 10yrs old. Maybe I should give one of these methods a go.. even though they are semi clean.. thanks everyone for your tips...
Never thought of washing my hoops.I seem to get a lot of goo on the bottom of my iron from ironing stabilizer ,forever cleaning it with a cleaner for iron soles
I just spray mine with goo gone spray gel (purchased at Wal-Mart), and let them sit for a while. Sometimes I have to respray and scrub. The citrus smell from the goo gone is very nice. Since everyone has shared their cleaning secrets now I am going to try the different ways.
I use lots of sticky stabilizer (wash away) and Dritz spray glue (also wash away). Dawn dish soap and hot water is my friend.
I use Fairy Liquid.......................and have beaurifully soft hands.......lol
Thanks for this tip I didn't know you could do any of this. :) Happy Resurrection/Easter Day.
I use Dawn dishwashing soap and an old toothbrush. Cleans like new! **FLOWERS to all**
My son the Chemistry major says the whole purpose of soap is to decrease surface tension. Think I'll go take a bubble bath after I clean my hoops.
I am the opposite. I hate sticky. i use masking tape a lot! I to take it too the hoop, however I have not had any build up. That is why I am stuck with some projects!
Thank you for the info. I was wondering what might get off the 505 spray without lots of scrubbing.
